She tends to not really care what they think and uses this powere to vent her pain at being connected to Sam and possibly even to punish him. However, she also demonstrates considerable loyalty to her pack and protectiveness of her brother.
She is rather immature when it comes to her anger issues, and doesn't really apprecate anyone critiquing her. Anyone who does usually ends up with their head metaphorically bit off.

FULL LENGTH HISTORY:
What really is there to say about the one girl that has it all? She has the one ability many women would die for... to know what is going on in the mind of several hot boys... However this female would rather eat dirt most of the time than deal with these talented and dashing boys...
...This is her story....
Leah Marie Clearwater was born to Harold and Suzanna Clearwater on November 17 1986. She like the rest of the reservation was born into a traditional Quileute family.
Leah was raised in a good home. Her father was one of the tribal Elders, which meant he had alot of say in what went on on the Reservation. He was very busy all the time doing various duties but always tried to make time for his family. Sue, her mother was a stay at home mother and always catered to Leah whilst looking after her and her younger brother Seth.
Over the years she and Seth were typical brother and sister, they always fought about various things, blaming one another for various reasons just to get out of being in trouble. Though as they aged that started to dissapear and over all now a days they get along pretty well. She is very fond of her brother and will do anything to protect him.
In elementary school she had two best friends that stood by her for many years, the Black Twins, Rebecca and Rachel. The two were a year older than her but they were always playing with one another at breaks and on weekends.
During her freshman year and before his change, Sam and Leah dated. They truly loved each other, and she was very happy with life. Honestly she had it deep in her brain that she was going to marry him, and thus she actually secretly started planning what the wedding would be like, and how their life would be.
But Sam changed into a werewolf. He disappeared for two weeks and Leah was frantic with worry. She and her family spent the entire time looking for him, fearing that he had gotten into an accident in the woods. When he finally did return he did not explain his absence, and people began to assume that he had gotten into something shady. Leah stuck by him, even though she was frustrated by the secrets she knew he was keeping from her.
One day Leah’s cousin Emily came from the Makah reservation to visit Leah and Leah introduced her to Sam. Sam imprinted on Emily, forcing him to break up with Leah. This broke her heart not only because she loved Sam, but because Emily had always been like a sister to her. She had no idea about the imprinting thing, just assumed that he stopped loving her all together. Leah was forced to sit back and watch the love of her life court her cousin, though, as Jacob noted, "She puts on a brave face. She’s going to be a bridesmaid."
Leah and Seth both changed into werewolves. However, the shock of their transformations causes Harry to have a fatal heart attack. Leah's transformation causes her further pain because she is mentally linked with Sam and has to be connected to him on a daily basis. Though she understands the impossibility of controlling an imprint, she uses this mental connection to punish Sam and her pack brothers with memories of the torment she suffered and thoughts about things the rest of the pack would rather forget. Jacob describes her as "harpy".
Over time she and Jacob start talking more, well yelling to be honest, but that usually leads to heart felt talks when no one else is around. They both know what it's like to feel loss, and Jacob seemed to hope that talking to her about his mother and the idea of loosing Bella would help her with getting over Sam. On occasion their relationship had passed the boundaries of friendship

SAMPLE POST:
She was on her fifth cigarette that night when she felt him.
His size betrayed his stealth, especially when his large feet stepped on the wet grass. He wasn’t breathing quietly, so she knew he hadn’t meant to surprise her. No, it had been a long time since he would creep up behind her, goofy grin in place, and make her jump from her relaxed position on the same grassy hill they would run off to, only to be together and stare up at the stars. The same grassy hill, in fact, that she was currently sitting on.
She was naked, and the feel of cool earth on her bare body contributed to her calmness. She didn’t plan on having company, but she was certainly in no position to dismiss her visitor, when the spot was clearly equally important to him. Calmly, she took another drag.
“Hello, Sam.”
Wordlessly, the alpha male of their pack walked forward, stopping to stand in front of her. His eyes raked over her body shamelessly, and she didn’t mind this, because he had seen her exposed earlier that night, and even before, whenever they made love during their high school days. His gaze moved to the smoking object in her hand. “Leah, you know smoking will only hurt your body.” He’d said, choosing then to sit next to her, far enough away to be deemed polite, yet close enough to feel the heat radiating off her lithe body.
At this, she laughed, an uncharacteristic like action, but she didn’t care because the buzz from the nicotine was the only thing stopping her from lashing out at the man next to her. “And you know that I don’t give a fuck about anything that hurts me.” Her eyes fixed pointedly to his, and she took another hit.
His face grew hard. “God damnit Leah!” Reaching over, he yanked the source of their conflict from her fingertips and threw it aside. “I’ve told you enough times than I can count that I’m sorry, but taking it out on yourself-”
“Jesus, all this over a cigarette?” Standing up, she brushed some of the grass off her backside, consciously aware that there was a pair of eyes following the trails her fingers made on her wet, glistening skin. “Besides,” She started with a smirk, shooting him a sultry look over her shoulder, much similar to the ones she gave him while in the privacy of his or her bedroom, long ago. “I’m not taking it out on myself, now am I?” She walked away then, leaving only her scent behind to tease him. And as he listened to the sound of bones cracking, followed by the faint, yet femme howl, Sam knew that she was right.
She was doing more damage to him, than her own body.
