THE SOLSTACE HAS BEGUN .The summer season has never been anything fantastic in Forks, Washington. It still rains, as usual, and if anything it's only slightly warmer. But this summer is very special to the human Bella Swan, as well as those whom she loves. Not only is her wedding quickly approaching, but as is her transformation where she forfeits mortality for immortality.
Since he and Billy received their invitation to the wedding (courtesy of Edward who thought he was doing what he thought best), Jacob Black has not been seen in either Forks or La Push Indian Reservation. In fact, when Jacob (tormented by his human emotions) runs himself to the brink of exhaustion, he collapses somewhere within the Makah Indian Tribe territory. When he awakes, he is lying in a cot of the Neah Bay Police Department. Later after a series of interrogation, it turns up that he was found by a company loggers and was then transported to the reservation (given his Native American facial features) police department by an armful of rangers. He's been staying with none other than the parents of Emily Young for the past week..
Meanwhile, back in Forks, emotions are running high as the wedding of the century is nearing its due date. Bella has one final fitting to go, and Alice makes the finishing touches on the wedding to make it one of the most everlasting human experiences that Bella will have, despite her issues with something too grandiose. Charlie Swan is cracking down, making sure that he's spending whatever time he last left with his daughter while he can, and Renee Dwyer and her husband, Phil, are due to be arriving at the Seattle Airport within a handful of days. The big day finally arrives: the much anticipated Cullen-Swan wedding. It seems as though Alice's careful and dilligent planning (with the help of Bella's soon-to-be mother-in-law Esme) have all paid off. The ceremony's about to start, everyone's in place, all except for Jacob who will not make it for the evening's events. To Edward, it seems as though everything is going to go perfectly without a hitch, until halfway down the aisle as Bella and Charlie are walking, a terrible blood curtling scream is heard, coming from the rear of the grand hall: a human, Jessica Stanley, clutching the sides of her head and flailing in agony.
Thats when Edward notices Jane Volturi through the corner of his eye, only just as she disappears from sight, the human in the back still screaming. The guests are in an uproar, and the careful weeks of planning are collpasing in front of the family and the community of Forks' eyes. Naturally, the wedding is postponed, and after apologizing for the disturbance to their guests, Carlisle, Jasper, and Edward head for Volterra, Italy to get to the root of the matter. When only Jasper returns, hardly in a state of perfect balance, that's when the remaining Cullens begin to panic.
Where is Edward? And where is the kindly Patriarch of the Cullen household? For days the Cullen family waits in desperation, Alice not being able to grasp a clear vision of their whereabouts about at all, frustrating her deeply. A day later, Carlisle arrives, for the first time making the family feel terrible discomfort with the look upon his face: he believes Edward to be dead, as he was separated, too, from Jasper as well.
The question still remains: where is Edward? It's up for you to decide!
This is an alternative look at the Saga, post Eclipse and early Breaking Dawn. Anything can happen at this point in the Twilight Saga. Will Bella find solace in her best friend Jacob Black when he finally returns to La Push Indian Reservation? And will Edward ever make it back alive? What happens is entirely up to you.
