• • • • • • • • • • • • • • •It was Leah's turn to prepare lunch today so she's just been to the shop in order to get enough food to actually feed the 2 large packs. She had four bags full to the brim with all sorts of food, mainly bread and various forms of meat to go into sandwhiches. Her mother was already at home preparing all sorts and had sent Leah out to go get more, and Leah was all to happy to go, it meant she could get out of the kitchen for awhile. It wasn't that she hated food preparation, in fact she rather enjoyed it, but doing mass preperations for 22 hungry wolves? Not so easy, and definately not fun, wolves eat at least double that of a normal human so that was a lot of food that needed preparing.
A soft sigh escaped Leah's lips as she made he way back towards the house, lunch did mean one thing though, Leah got to see Jacob and she hadn't seen him today or yesterday and it was strange for her to admit how much she was missing him already. Shifting the bags a little Leah picked up her pace, if the food wasn't ready Leah didn't want to have to face the wrath of angry, hungry werewolves.
"Fuck it!" Leah swore angrily as one of the bags spilt, 3 loaves of bread hit the floor and Leah sighed bending down to pick them up. Glad she'd thought of grabbing a couple of extra bags before she'd left the store. Re-packing the bread into a new bag, she checked the other 3 remaining bags and they seemed sturdy enough so she carried on walking, not really paying attention to where she was walking, just letting her subconscious mind take her the route she knew so well. Her thoughts otherwise occupied by other things.• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • »tag« Bella !»word count« enough »outfit« Outfit»note« I edited to add my own thread template »lyrics« She-Wolf - Shakira »credit« Me! _________________________________________________________ While on the res certainly knew all about Leah and Jacob, Bella was still completely unaware that the two were actually dating. In fact, she was sure if she did find out, well actually...she wasn't sure how she'd react because it seemed to be the furthest thought from her mind. It was rather obvious Leah wasn't fond of her, though Bella tried to be pleasant around her. She knew she had gone through enough when Sam, her then boyfriend, imprinted on her cousin of all things. That had to be horrible, Bella couldn't even imagine what she must've gone through. Bella had decided to pay Jacob a visit today, but when she was halfway there anxiety gripped her. She didn't want to get into another fight with him, as their friendship seemed to be strained lately. Chewing on her lower lip she looked around before deciding to pull up along the side of the road. Fidgeting with her phone, she was tempted to just call Jacob and see if he'd pick up first before just dropping by his house. Heck, he might not even be there right now.
Something moved within her line of vision and she looked up to see a rather annoyed Leah picking up food that seemed to have split onto the floor. Hesitating for a moment she then got out of her car, even if they weren't on the best terms Bella still felt compelled to help the poor girl who was obviously pissed off that she had a ripped bag. However, by the time she was over by her, Leah was already walking away. "Um, hi Leah." Bella said, feeling rather awkward at the moment. "Did you need help bringing those back to the house? I can drive you there." She offered, fidgeting with her keys, hoping that Leah would take her up on the offer. _________________________________________________________ WORD COUNT- 312 TAG(S)- Leah NOTE- This should be interesting.... • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •Everyone on the rez now knew of Leah and Jake's dating, they weren't all pleased about it, but there was nothing they could do about it. Leah was actually happy, less of a bitch than she'd been previously, the packs were a little weary of it but they weren't going to argue and risk setting Leah off again, nobody liked to face Leah's wrath when she lost her temper, so when she was in a good mood the pack's just went with it. Leah was glad she didn't have to hide her feelings for Jake anymore, it had been hard, and actually getting together and made her feelings hard to hide, so it was a huge relief when they finally told the packs.
A car caught Leah's attention, but she payed it no notice, instead concentrating on picking up the dropped bread, it was then that the scent caught Leah's nostrils. She felt a growl growing in the pit of her stomach, but held it back, so it only came out as a low rumble from the back of her throat. The voice then followed the scent and Leah turned round to look at the leech-lover that was Bella Cullen. She honestly didn't like the girl, and couldn't understand why Jacob liked her so much but Leah tended to keep her mouth shut about Bella rather than risk starting an argument with Jacob. She eyed Bella carefully, then looked at the arm full of groceries that she was carrying, it wasn't like she couldn't make it on her own, and it wasn't far. "Sure, I guess so" she said with a shrug. Leah didn't need help, as a wolf it meant she was stronger than humans, so getting back was an easy task, but Leah had other thoughts running through her head. Leah knew that Bella was only here to see Jacob and Leah was keen on the idea of Bella and Jacob being alone together, it was just how Leah was, she was a little jealous and still untrusting. "Besides, you're here to see Jake and he won't be at home, he'll be on his way to mine" she said coolly as she began walking towards Bella's car, implication was laced in her words as to why Jacob would be at hers, but she was sure Bella wouldn't come to that conclusion, most people wouldn't have until they actually saw them together.• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • »tag« Bella! »word count« enough »outfit« Outfit »note« this is definately going to be fun ^^ »lyrics« She-Wolf - Shakira »credit« Me! _________________________________________________________ Honestly, Bella wasn't sure how Leah was going to react to seeing her, especially once she caught whiff of who she was. She was sure Leah didn't have to turn around to know who was coming towards her. Bella knew Edward probably wasn't all that happy with her and Jake being on speaking terms again, but she also knew Edward hated to see her unhappy and without Jake in her life, well she wasn't as happy as she could be. Things were still awkward between the two, and she felt guilty for yelling at him like she had, but when he didn't listen to her she had become so frustrated. She wouldn't let it happen again though, as it wasn't right for her to do so at all. She knew what anger could do to a werewolf, though she knew Jake had overwhelming control over his powers. She could only imagine if someone like Paul had gotten as pissed as Jacob had, in fact when she did she cringed at the thought. Paul certainly had a hot head.
Once she was out of the car, Bella was cautious as she made her way over to where Leah was picking up the groceries. When Leah turned around to look at her, Bella internally cringed, though she tried to keep her expression friendly. To say that Bella was uncomfortable was a total understatement right now. She noticed the way Leah looked at her, as if she were sizing her up, and that made Bella feel more than a little uncomfortable. Still, she smiled a little, though it was not a full on smile. When Leah took her up on the offer, Bella was actually rather surprised, but didn't comment about it. "Okay, um, do you need help bringing those back to the car?" She asked, though she was sure that Leah had no problem with the weight of the bags, she could tell Leah had been struggling a bit with them. Of course Bella was unaware of what Leah's intentions really were, to keep her and Jacob separated, or for her to be there when they were alone. Honestly, Bella had never seen any connection between Leah and Jake, but then again Leah rarely seemed to be around when Bella was present. The only wolves she really counted on were Seth and Jake, she had grown pretty close to Leah's brother and she was sure Leah was less than thrilled about that. In fact, whenever Bella would call Seth's house, she was hoping every single time it was anyone other than the girl that was standing right in front of her right now. She felt like blushing when Leah knew exactly what Bella was here for, but it wasn't a shocker. She always came to La Push to see Jacob. A tiny smile came to her lips before Leah spoke up, saying that Jake was on his way to her house. Her brows furrowed a little from the tone of voice Leah had used when she explained that Jacob was on his way to her house, and she turned around as Leah was making her way to the car. "Is he helping to prepare the food?" She asked curiously, not exactly getting what Leah's meaning behind her statement had been. Though Bella could tell something was off about the statement. _________________________________________________________ WORD COUNT- five hundred and fifty eight. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •Leah didn't like Bella, she didn't like any of the Cullen's and she wasn't shy about letting them know it, the only one she showed any form of respect for was Carlisle and that was because he was a doctor. He spent his time trying help those that he should be eating and actually managed to ignore the scent of human blood. Then there was the fact that a couple of years ago when Jake had saved her from that new born, the Doc had been there to re-set his bones, because they obviously couldn't take him to a normal doctor, not running a temperature that should otherwise mean you were dead. But Leah nailed the blame on the Cullen's, for what had happened between her and Sam, more than anyone she hated them for the changes and loosing Sam. But the blame for her becoming a wolf fell on Bella, she blamed the Cullen's coming back and ultimately her own change on Bella and that was just the start to her anger. After getting closer to Jacob and having been the one to pick up the pieces from what Bella had done to him it had just made her dislike for the girl even stronger.
Leah could see that Bella was uncomfortable under her gaze and it made a small smile play on the she-wolf's lips, amused by Bella's reaction to her, so the girl was completely stupid? Leah wasn't ruling anything out yet. Help? Leah scoffed at the idea "No thanks, I got it" she replied simply. It wasn't exactly hard to figure out why Bella had come to La Push, she only ever came here for one reason; Jacob, sometimes to see Seth as well, either way it meant Bella was heading the same way as her and gave Leah and excuse to keep an eye on her. While the other wolves were still happy with Bella being around (as long as she was human) Leah was more skeptical, she knew that one day soon Bella's heart would stop beating and that meant big things were soon to happen on the rez. "No, me and mom are doing that, Jake tends to eat more than he helps" she replied a grin at remember the last time Jake had tried to help her and her mom do lunch. She climbed into the passenger seat of Bella's car and wrinkled her nose at the smell, vampire, lovely! She heaved a sigh, but said nothing else, deciding instead to look out the window for a moment. Her mind running through how Jacob would react if Leah were the one to let the wolf out of the bag about their dating.• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • »tag« Bella! »word count« enough »outfit« Outfit »note« this is definately going to be fun ^^ »lyrics« She-Wolf - Shakira »credit« Me! _________________________________________________________ It was true that Leah was far from beating around the bush from admitting when she didn't like someone, and it was obviously Leah didn't care for her or her vampire family. Still, there wasn't much she could say that would change Leah's opinion about them or her, and while it bothered Bella, she hoped that some day Leah would get over whatever this was with the wolves and the vampires. Not likely to happen, but a nice thought. Honestly, Bella was still a little surprised by the wolves actually allowing Carlisle to help one of their own, but she was glad they had. She wasn't sure what she do if Jacob were to...she didn't even want to think about it. She knew Carlisle would've been persistent if they had declined his help, it's just how Carlisle was. He was always there for someone, and that was a nice quality to have. She knew that despite how Bella saw it, that some of the wolves were more than willing to put the blame on her vampire family for everything that had happened. She honestly couldn't see it as being anyone's fault, if it was anyone's it was hers. She had inflicted danger on everyone just because of her horribly bad luck.
Bella noticed a tiny smile tugging at the corner of Leah's lips, as if she were amused by Bella's intimidation toward her. Maybe she shouldn't have stopped, she was feeling rather awkward at the moment to be quite honest. She wondered if Leah would ever actually like her, though from the looks of it, she very much doubted it. She heard Leah scoff a little at Bella's offer to help her, her hands raised to take a bag from her if she said yes, but they quickly dropped back to her sides. "Okay." Bella said before moving back to her car, feeling very uncomfortable right now. She knew a lot of the wolves had given up on trying to stop her from becoming what her husband was, and she was glad about that because it really wasn't any of their business. Of course when she had told Jacob that it was not his business what she did with her life and soul, he had gone berserk. She knew he was only looking out for her, and while she appreciated that very much, it was her body not his. She loved Jacob, she really did, but she loved Edward more. She couldn't live without Edward, trust her, she tried. Or well, more she was forced to do so. Playing with her wedding ring idly she then moved to open her door, figuring Leah wouldn't want her help, even if it was just opening a door, so she'd just let her do it on her own. Bella did smile a little when she explained that it was just her mother and her making the food, and that Jacob tended to eat a lot more than helping out. "Sounds like him." She said with a small laugh. Bella didn't noticed the expression that came to Leah's face when she got into the car, so she didn't say anything or offered to put down the windows. Putting her seat belt on, even if Leah's house was only a few minutes away, she then started up the car again. She knew where Leah lived just because of Seth living there as well. "So, um, how are things?" Yep, this was definitely going to be an awkward few minutes, but if it meant she got to see Jacob then it was worth it. _________________________________________________________ WORD COUNT- five hundred and ninety nine TAG(S)- Leah NOTE- This should be interesting.... • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •Leah was unlikely to change her opinion of the Cullen's and that included Bella, they had once been on mutual terms, their fathers used to be close, like the best of friends and that generally left Leah and Bella playing together as children, something that Leah had pushed back far in her memory. Though part of Leah could understand Bella's descion, she knew what and who she wanted out of life and so she sticking to her guns about getting it. The problem that Leah was the way that Bella had done it and the fact that Jacob had got hurt in the process; she knew in the long run that if what happened with Bella hadn't happened then there was a slim chance that her and Jake would ever have gotten together but she wasn't going to admit that to Jake and she certainly wasn't going to start being nice to Bella - it was her pride getting in the way once again.
If things had been different that Leah could have seen herself being liking Bella, actually being friends with her, but so much had happened now that Leah wouldn't go back on the walls that she'd built. Wouldn't get off of her high horse and admit that perhaps she could have been wrong. She was willing to not rip Bella's head off and that was as far as it was going to go, she would be civil and not start anything and that was only for Jacob's sake. She noticed that Bella didn't offer to help her again, probably a wise choice, Leah had always been the sort of girl who had to do everything for herself, it was just how she was. Leah just nodded as Bella agreed that it was definately like Jake to eat rather than help, it was truth and of course the other girl would know that, they'd spent enough time together. Leah lifted her head to actually look at Bella when she asked how things were and a genuine smile actually spread across her lips as thought about the past couple of weeks, since the last time she'd spoken to Bella "Things have been good here" she noticed that she was actually smiling at the other and turned back to the window silent cursing Jacob in her head for making her a nice person, not that she was really complaining "Do you mind?" she asked as she reached for the button to open the window, she was going to do it anyway, but hey, she was trying to be civil by at least asking first. With the window open Leah breathed the fresh air in deeply, glad that the vampire smell was slowly disappearing.• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • »tag« Bella! »word count« enough »outfit« Outfit »note« this is definately going to be fun ^^ »lyrics« She-Wolf - Shakira »credit« Me!
