Bella was not about to waste time in getting to Jacob's house, especially when he was actually allowing her to come after having banned her a few weeks back. So after hanging up with him she had gotten into her tank of a car and drove straight to La Push. Even though it hadn't been that long since she had last seen him, it felt like months and she couldn't help but be eager to see him. As she got close to where he lived she could feel herself become very anxious and her heart began to pick up in its speed. Swallowing hard in a poor attempt to re-wet her mouth which had suddenly become dry she pulled up into Jacob's house and hesitantly turned off the ignition before stepping out of the car and making her way up to the front door. Knocking on it a few times she then crossed her arms over her chest and moved on the balls of her feet, unable to keep still as she was rather nervous of how Jacob would react to seeing her. Even if she had told him she was coming.

It wasn’t long after he hung up the phone that he heard a knock on the door. Though before he could get to the door his sister Rebecca was there answering it. “Oh Hi, Bella right? Yeah I don’t know if you remember me, Jacob’s sister.... Rebecca. Anyway, it’s nice to see you again, I’ve heard a lot about you from Daddy. Not so much from Jake though....” she drifted off. That was his key moment, he slid right in front of her and practically pushed Bella back onto the porch as he followed dressed in nothing but a t-shirt and jean shorts and he yanked Bella along side him until they got around to the back of the house. “THANKS BECCA!” he yelled at her half heartedly as he dashed off, human in toe.
“Hey.” He finally said once he could tell they were alone. He reached out for a hug hoping to feel her less warm embrace and beating heart. “I missed you.” He almost whispered. But then once he had it off his chest he pulled back and looked at her square in the eye like he was the Alpha again rather than a friend. “So, you wanted to talk? In person? What more is there to say?” He raised an eyebrow at her hating to treat her this way, but it was for her own good that she saw how it was going to be once she changed. He loved her, he always would, but she needed to be sure of her choice before it happened.

Bella was expecting to see Jacob answering the door, so she was a bit caught off guard by one of his sisters doing so instead. "Yeah, hi." Bella said with a tiny smile, really just wanting to see Jacob. "Yeah I remember you." She confirmed with a nod. Feeling slightly awkward she rubbed the back of her arm, hoping that Jacob would be coming soon. Out of nowhere she found herself being pushed backwards and back fully onto the porch only to see Jacob there. "Um, bye." She called out awkwardly, stumbling as Jacob pulled her along. "Where are we going?" She asked in confusion as he dragged her along the side of the house and to the backyard. However after a moment he stopped and greeted her. "Hey." She said softly before he moved to embrace her. With slight surprise and no hesitation she wrapped her slender arms around him as tightly as she could. "I missed you too Jake. A lot." She told him, embracing him still. However when he pulled her back she looked up at him and noticed no warmth in his eyes, or at least not as much as she was expecting. She tore her gaze away from him when he asked her a few questions, just missing him raise an eyebrow at her. "I just wanted to see you in person. I miss hanging out with you." Bella admitted before hesitantly looking back up at him.

He looked over at her as he pulled her around the edge of the red house.“Just over here. Two secs Bells.” Within a few moments they had managed to get so far behind the house that his sister would not be able to see or hear them from inside the house where she was bound to be stalking around angrily trying to figure out what was going on with her siblings.
When Bella and him finally spoke, and she told him that she was really very happy to be spending time with him and being able to see him again and mainly that she missed him he seemed a bit surprised. Here he had thought that she might have been manipulated some how by the vampires to forget about him, or came to tell him in person that she was already changing into a vampire or something. That was just like Edward to rub it in. “Really? Well, I umm.. cool” He was sort of lost for words. He didn’t want to give in to her and tell her just how much he missed her, he had done that on the phone and that was a misake. He was an Alpha, and a werewolf, and he had responsibilities to his pack and his people. Besides the fact that his girlfriend wouldn’t really be thrilled with the idea of knowing that his ex best friend was trying to get back together with him. He knew that Leah had hoped Bella would just die and be done with in their lives forever, only Jake knew if that happened, she would be around more than ever before, trying to fix the bond that was broken for the rest of eternity. She was stubborn and Bella never gave up.
“Yeah, I miss that too Bella. But you know that it can’t happen if you keep this up.” Of course he was referring to the idea of becoming a vampire. And she knew that too, at least if she had been paying attention to anything he had been saying since before she married the dead guy. “I can’t protect you, or hang out with you when you’re dead. And I can’t honestly enjoy hanging out with you now knowing that you want to die.”

Bella stumbled as he pulled her along the side of the small red house, a bit turned off that he seemed to get far away from the house. She felt uneasy as to why he seemed so hesitant to have her inside the house, but at the same time she would like the quiet. It seemed that her other sister was back now as well, and in a way it bothered her not to know about this. However with that thought, she realized that they hadn't talked for a good few weeks, maybe even a month. In a way she couldn't blame him, she had been, well...for lack of a better word, an ass to him. She knew it had been wrong to snap at him like she had, but she was getting sick of the constant bickering back and forth between him and Edward. Couldn't they just be friends? And then on top of that, Jacob had this ultimatum that she had to stay human for them to continue to be friends. Though that whole friendship seemed to go down the drain the last time they had seen each other. He looked at her so differently now, it made her sick to her stomach because he wasn't anywhere near the same Jacob she had grown to love a few years back. She wanted that Jacob back and for this one to just disappear.
She'd be lying to herself if she were to say that Edward's return hadn't put a strain on their relationship, but she wasn't going to blame any of this on Edward. It was her own doing, or at least that's how she saw it. Though she tended to put the blame on herself quite a bit, but that's just how she was, how she always had been. Bella noticed how surprised he seemed to be when she admitted to missing him, and that she was glad to be able to see him again. Was it that wrong for her to feel that way? Did he not miss her at all? He just said he had, so now she was confused and a bit worried to be quite honest. Her wide-eyed expression changed into one of disappointment at the lack of enthusiasm that was once woven into his voice whenever they were around each other. Adverting her gaze down to their feet she couldn't help but feel disappointed, even if she should've expected this sort of attitude from him these days. Was everything he had said on the phone been a lie? He didn't seem like the same person he had been on the phone and she didn't like that. She knew she couldn't tell him how to act, but she really wished that she had 'her' Jacob back, especially right now.
Of course Bella was completely unaware that he was in fact dating someone right now, and maybe it was for the best that he didn't tell her. When Jacob spoke up again, saying that he missed hanging out with her as well she could feel her expression lighten up just a tad. That was until he told her that they couldn't happen if she kept up with this goal of hers to become a vampire. She bit her tongue though, as she didn't want another fight. Of course his words were hurting her, sometimes whether she admitted it or not, she liked to the truth to be hidden from her. Even though she respected him for being honest with her, it didn't make it hurt any less. "I know." She said in a quiet tone when he told her that he can't protect her, or hang out with her when she was dead. Moving her gaze back up to him when he admitted to her that he couldn't enjoy hanging out with her knowing that she wants to die. She was trying not to let the hurt show on her face but it was pretty obvious in her eyes, which she was quick to advert from his own, not sure what to say at this point.

He looked over at her again as she agreed with him, knowing full well that he was right in what he said. With a sigh he moved closer to her again embracing her once more resting his head on hers. He just stood there staring at the house thinking of everything they had gone through, and how far they had come. He pulled away and looked at her dead in the eye for a moment while he thought of what to say. Instead he decided to show her one good last time, instead of fighting over why she should be alive like he had for years, he was going to show her what it was like to live. Leah would probably kill him for it later, but he could deal with her. He loved her enough, she knew that Bella was no competition anymore.
“Come on Bells. I wanna show you something.” He said slowly, his true happy smile taking hold of his lips as he intertwined his fingers with hers pulling her along slowly to the garage. And then he let her go and opened the door to show her the car. He had never really had a chance to show Bella the car since he got rid of the rabbit, if they ever spoke it was either with him coming in wolf form or him meeting her somewhere on the Rez via walking there on foot.
“This is my new baby!” he said, full smile still pinned to his lips. “Well.... come on... you came all the way out here... might as well have some fun..... get in....” he said with a sigh. Yeah he felt bipolar right now, but he was still trying to sway her, and he was getting to the point where he didn’t want to fight and just wanted to be with her while he still could, before she did the deed. So here he was, back tracking and deciding to enjoy her coming out here like he used to. Not dreading it.

Bella didn't say anything when he looked at her again once she agreed with him. Hearing him sigh she peered up at him briefly as she saw him move himself a bit closer to her, a bit caught off guard by his sudden embrace she took a second to wrap her arms around him again. She felt like crying but she was not about to do that, not again, it was too embarrassing. Feeling him rest his head on top of hers she leaned her weight into him, holding onto him as tightly as she could. She missed this, being close to him like she had been when Edward wasn't around. Of course she certainly didn't miss him being away from her, nor the depression that came along with it, but she missed just spending time with Jacob. She missed the old Jacob, the one who was clumsy, though not as bad as herself, and the one who constantly smiled. It was rare that she saw 'her' Jacob these days, and she hated it. She couldn't help but feel that some of that was her fault. Feeling him pull away from the embrace she looked up at him and he looked down at her, his gaze holding hers as she remained silent.
She wondered if he was going to say anything or remain silent like she was, that was until he spoke up again, telling her that he wanted to show her something. The smile that came to his lips was almost foreign to her, because it had been so long since she had last seen that smile. The one that always brought a smile to her lips, like right now a huge smile was coming to hers. "Okay." She said, unable to contain the happiness she was suddenly feeling. Feeling him lace his warm fingers in between her own she allowed him to lead her towards the garage. Once they were there he let go of her hand and she let it drop to her side, watching him as he opened the door to show her a car that she was not familiar with it. She looked at it for a brief moment before Jacob exclaimed that this was his new 'baby'. "It looks cool Jake, I like it." She told him enthusiastically, a smile still on her lips. She wondered where this suddenly happiness of his was coming from, but she was not about to ruin it so when he offered to take her around in his car she took it up. "Okay." She said with a smile as she moved into the garage and moved to the passengers side. Getting into the car she waited for him to do the same and then spoke up. "So, where are we going?" She asked as she put her seatbelt on.

He looked over at her when she asked where they were going. Honestly he hadn’t thought that far ahead, he had just felt like being normal for once, being human, and not fighting with her. It was weird because when he was on the phone with her he was fighting with her, when she showed up he was dead set against her staying. But then standing there listening to himself and then listening to her he realised, she’s only human for so long, he is immortal himself, and as long as she is still there, still alive, he might as well enjoy having her around. When she dies, whether it be of old age or vampire, he wanted to finally just live and be happy with her.
“I don’t know... where do you wanna go Bells?” he looked over at her starting the car as he backed out slowly of the garage making sure he didn’t hit anything on the way out. Once he was outside idling in the driveway he tried to think of all the places they used to go, the places they always talked about going, and nothing really seemed right anymore. “How ‘bout......” he mused trying to think of a good place still. “ How about we go to a place that only humans go to. No wolves, no bloodsuckers, nothing. Just you and me and humans. Lets go to Seattle, it’s not far away, only a couple hours drive, but it could be fun. We can hang out, you can go shopping do what girls do or what ever, and we can just chill. What you think?” He raised an eyebrow at her wondering what she will think.

Bella was silent as she looked over at him, expecting some sort of answer. Chewing on her lower lip as she waited for him to speak up, she played with her hair idly before looking away from him for a moment. Well, this was awkward. This was the first time in a long time that they were just seemingly hanging out, she never pictured it to be this awkward though. She knew that Jacob and her weren't as close as they once had been, but that didn't mean things had to be awkward between the two. When he spoke up, unsure of where they should go and asked her where she wanted to go, she turned to look back up at him. "Um, I'm not sure." She admitted, watching as he twisted the key in the key ignition and the engine rumbled to life. When he was pulling out of the garage, Bella was still thinking of where they could go. Running her fingers through her hair she tried to think of somewhere nearby they could go.
Watching as he looked over his shoulder to make sure he didn't hit into anything, Bella was silent for the time being. When he started to speak up, trying to think of a place where they could go, she was up for anything at this point. As long as they got to hang out, she didn't care. When he suggested they go to a place that only humans were allowed, no supernatural beings she was a bit curious as to what he was on about. His sudden spontaneous suggestion to go to Seattle shocked her a little. "I don't know..." She said, a little unsure as she was sure that Edward wouldn't approve of this. However, she didn't want to pass up an opportunity to hang out with Jacob again. Chewing on her lower lip she figured that she would just call Edward and let him know she would be back later on tonight. "Okay." She said before looking to Jacob with a smile, "Let's do it. Let me just call Edward-" She trailed off as she grabbed her cell phone from her jean pocket. She realized there was some money in there from earlier on in the day, and Bella was pretty glad that she still had it with her. Dialing Edward's cell phone she waited for a response while looking over at Jacob with a smile.

He nodded as she agreed to come, on the condition that she call her bloodsucker and tell him where they were headed, he let out a small sigh pulling out his cellphone as well. It was probably a good idea, Leah was doing rounds tonight anyway, but he would just call her to let her know he might be a bit late for their date later on the next morning. He had been making a habit of picking her up from Patrol lately when she was working without him and they just went and chilled somewhere. Nothing amazing, but what can you do when your a wolf and have to run your ass off all night long? Not really much of anything at all....
"'kay, me too." He punched in her number and pressed send allowing the phone to call her. When her answering machine picked it up he knew she was asleep. He spoke clearly into the mouth peace at a rather casual normal tone of voice to Leah's machine knowing she would get it later on. "Hey Babe. Hope things are going okay with you. Just wanted to let you know that me and Bella are gonna head out to Seattle for the day, I just felt like chillin' so yeah." he didn't really feel much need to explain himself, after all they were just friends, Bella had made that perfectly clear prior to her marrying Edward that it was all she ever would want between them. Luckily for her, he still felt like the friends thing right now, or re-thought the whole friends thing at least. He wasn't going to give up, but he was done fighting over it, at least until she pissed him off. "So anyway, have a good run tonight and I'll see you in the morning okay? Imma try to be there on time, don't see why I won't be. If not though, I'll leave you a message so you know when your off. Alright, I'll talk to you later, miss you." He said the last two words quieter and then hung up the phone. He glanced over at Bella waiting for her to get off the line with her Bloodsucker before starting on a conversation as he headed onto the road that took them to Seattle.

Bella knew that Jacob didn't like the idea of Edward knowing everywhere she went, and honestly she was just doing it out of respect. He always let her know when he was going somewhere, so she thought it was only fair to do the same. She had the feeling he wouldn't be all that thrilled, but he was not her father. She respected Edward's opinions, but she did not have to take his every order. She hadn't exactly obeyed him when he told her not to go see Jacob a few years back, however Alice had gotten a hold of him before she could get to Jacob's house. She was pissed with him, but it didn't last long. She was never one to hold grudges for too long, and sometimes she hated that she was like that.
When Jake told her that he was gonna call someone as well her brows furrowed a little, who would he be calling? Surely Billy didn't really care and he was head of his wolf pack, unless that's what he was gonna do. Give them a heads up? She couldn't be too sure. Holding her phone to her ear she heard Edward pick up, "Hey Edward, I'm um...I'm going to be going to Seattle today....Yes, with Jacob....Edward, I'm-I'm going, no I'll be fine. I have money with me-" Of course Jacob could only hear one side of the conversation, but anyone could tell Edward was not thrilled with the idea. "I promise to call, okay? I'll be fine." Trying to reassure him, Bella looked over at Jacob again, her brows furrowing when she heard him calling someone 'babe'. Was he...dating someone? He would've told her if he was, wouldn't he? At hearing him whisper something at the end, Bella quickly turned away hoping he hadn't noticed her staring. "I'm sill here." Bella told Edward, blushing a little when she realized she must've zoned out Edward. Sighing, she ran her fingers through her hair. "I know, and I'll be fine, okay? I love you." She said, a smile coming to her lips before hung up. "You ready to go?" She asked Jake, curious as hell to figure out who he was talking to but deciding to see if he'd say anything.

Jacob looked over at Bella listening in briefly to her conversation with Edward. He knew that her husband probably wouldn't be thrilled with the idea, but he didn't really give a rats ass what that bloodsucker though. Jacob and Edward had always been at odds and that didn't seem to change any time now, especially if Bella did in fact turn into one of them as well. Only time would tell, but he wasn't going to let that bug him now.
He looked over at her after hanging up thte phone on Leah's answering machine to see Bella just finishing up her phone call. She loved him, how sweet, that was what his inner sarcastic side was telling him at least. He really was glad Bella found the 'right' monster for her, he just wished that she wasn't so dead set on suicide to stay with him forever. That was the good thing with wolves, if they imprinted, they could stop shifting and start aging again so they could die with their mate, rather than living miserably forever after their mate died. Luckily for Jake, he had yet to imprint, had no plan on doing so, and was quite happy with his immortal girlfriend.
"You okay Bells?" he asked her curiously noting the confused look on her face as she asked him if he was ready to go. "Yep, you?" He would have told Bella, if they were actually Best friends as they once were. But being a best friend required a certain person to not spend all her time with dead people and planning ways to kill herself to avoid spending time with him. It seemed though that he would have to tell her soon, she was bound to get curious, and thier friendship was slowly recovering. It was time that they moved on, moved past it all, and he was trying.
