Rachel had hit that legal drinking age not too many days ago, not that she particularly liked alochol, she just liked knowing she could drink legally if she so choosed. She sighed as she started to finally get up for the day. It was going to be a nice week, not. Being with Paul, well it had its disadvantages. Not that she didn't love him or didn't mind doing some of the things they did, but they had to cook for them constantly and set up dinners and such for them all day long. After awhile, that whole routie became...well boring. Rachel wasn't like Emily, Emily loved doing that and did it all the time. But Rachel knew she should help out, so she did what she could.
She looked around her old room, it seemed empty without her sister here with her. Though Rachel had been living back with her dad for a year now. She really needed to find her own place. It didn't feel right to just keep on staying here, especially with the relationship she was in with Paul. At some point, they would get married and probably start a family. Can't exactly do that in her father's home. Well she could but that wasn't the point. She was twenty-one now, she should be living on her own, going to college, working, and everything else.
Standing up, she threw on some clean jeans and nice brown top. It was still kind of chilly out but it was still only April, didn't really heat up until about June, maybe July. Moving over to her mirror, she pulled her hair up, part of her bangs still hanging in her face. Satisfied with the look, she left her room and went into the rest of the house. It didn't seem that Jake was there, and if he was, he was sleeping she guessed. Nor did she hear her father around the house. Going into the small kitchen she saw the note from him saying he went out with Charlie again.
Just as she was about to grab something to eat, Rachel heard a knocking at the door. Reaching the door, she opened it. “Oh...hi Bella.”

_______________________________________________________ S O P R E T T Y, S O S M A R T what a waste of a young heart _______________________________________________________ [/color] It had been almost a week since Bella had last seen Jacob in person, and to be quite honest Bella didn't like the distance they seemed to be having between each other. So while out doing some errands, she decided she'd drop by his house. She could only hope he'd be there, because she wanted to talk with him. The distance between the two of them lately was not something Bella was fond of. After she finished getting her groceries she dropped off her stuff at the cottage quickly before getting back into her car and headed towards La Push. She knew the way there so easily that she could do it with her eyes closed. Of course she wouldn't, because with her luck she was likely to get into a car crash.
One hand on the steering wheel, she had her other hand by her mouth as she chewed absently on her fingernails. Something she rarely noticed she was ever doing anymore, it was something she did when she felt uncomfortable, anxious or bored. Right now it was the second, as she was pretty anxious to see Jacob. She wondered if he was asleep, considering he probably had to do patrol last night. Glancing at the clock she then looked back on the road. Sighing she was not really fond of how quiet it was right now and fiddled with the radio for a moment before finding a decent station. She really hated this car, but she had to drive it because her truck just happened to have died a few weeks prior to the wedding. She still couldn't help but believe that Edward had to do with her truck dying, but she knew even if he had, he wouldn't tell her. She still hadn't gotten completely used to this car, at times she would forget this wasn't her truck and that she didn't have to stomp on the gas peddle to get it to go faster. Yeah, it wasn't good when that happened. Quite a few times she had gotten the wind knocked out of her just from gently pressing on the gas peddle.
Running her fingers through her hair as she got closer to the house she chewed on her lower lip as she pulled up to the side of the house. Getting out of the car she headed up to the small red house and knocked on the door. Moving back and forth on the balls of her feet she heard footsteps get closer to the front door, but they sounded too light to be Jacob's. When the door opened she was greeted by one of Jacob's older sisters. She felt like an idiot, but she couldn't exactly figure out if this was Rachel or Rebecca, it didn't help that she and her sister were identical twins. "Hey." Bella said, not using a name in case she was wrong. "Um, is Jacob home?" She asked, running her fingers through her hair again, feeling rather uncomfortable at the moment to be quite honest.

Rachel had liked the idea of being in La Push in the first place but she now loved it, she loved more though that she had came down when she did. Rachel only wished she had came down sooner. She could have been with Paul that much sooner. But she was here now, for a year and a half now. It was hard to think that it had been that long.
Her schooling had changed, but for what she wanted it wasn't hard to find a different college close to La Push. As much as she wished to stay in La Push, she knew she needed some kind of degree. And that chosen profession was nursing. And now it seemed like a good idea. The boys could definitely use it. As they woudn't go to the hospital, that would...well be stupid to. Their tempertures were high and they were abnormally tall too, there would probably also be something different with their blood work if someone looked at it. So going to a hospital for an injury wouldn't be the wisest things. Before, Carlisle Cullen had helped Jake but Rachel was almost sure that wasn't going to happen again. They'd need someone that knew some medical background, that could properly take care of them to fix any major injuries. Either that or they needed some doctor that they could tell about the secret that would help them when they needed. The chances of that were slim as well.
The person that was at her door was one that she wasn't much expecting to see. Not for awhile. It wouldn't have even been in her wildest dreams to have Isabella Cullen to show up at the Black's door. Yes it had been about a year and a half now since she had became a Cullen. Rachel stared at the girl, she still looked the same, wasn't....a vampire, like the rest of them. Rachel knew she would have been able to tell, because of the eyes. Paul had told her. It was a shock that Bella was here.
Why would Bella want to know where Jacob was? Rachel narrowed her eyes for a moment. This girl had definitely hurt her brother, but she still couldn't just turn her back away from the brunette. The girl was somewhat her friend, from their younger days when they were kids. Billy and Charlie had always put them together when they went on their fishing trips. Rachel sighed as she opened the door further. “No, he isn't here. But you are welcomed to come in and wait for him.” She offered. Rachel was almost always nice, even now. Not that she was agreeing to Bella seeing Jake again but she couldn't stop her brother from what he did. He was his own person. But she sure as hell could put forth her words on it. Probably be the most outspoken she had been for awhile around him.
Rachel smiled to herself when she saw the bit of uncomfortableness come over Bella. “It's Rachel, Bella. Don't worry, I get that a bit.” She laughed to herself as she turned around and headed into the house.
