Bella had been dreading this day since she found out from the dentist that she had to get her wisdom teeth out. It was hard for her not to eat the night before, and it was even harder for her to get some sleep. She had only had surgery once, for her leg and she had not been aware of the fact that she had even needed it mostly because she was unconscious for the first three days after James had gotten to her. This surgery, being much more minor did not make her feel any less scared. Needless to say, she had hardly gotten any sleep and was not in the greatest of moods the morning of the whole wisdom teeth removal. In the car on the way to the dentist, Bella was quiet the entire time, fidgeting with her shirt and chewing on her nails whilst she stared out the window. She was glad Edward knew when not to talk, like now. The drive was long, though thankfully with Edward’s speed it wasn’t as long as it was supposed to be.
Once they had gotten there, Bella had to fill out some information. Luckily that didn’t take too long and after she was done filling out the information she handed it to the security before taking her seat next to Edward. Holding one of his hands she held the other hand to her mouth as she chewed nervously on her barely there fingernails. Once in a while she glanced at the clock, her appointment was for 8:30 and they had gotten there a bit earlier than expected so she had to wait. Moving her gaze to the door she thought about making a run for it, but she knew Edward would easily catch her before he could. Looking to her left when she heard her name being called she felt her heart going into overdrive as she hesitantly rose from her seat. Peering at Edward and then at the exit she knew it would be pointless to escape and practically had to drag her feet forward. The worst part for her was having the IV being put in her and not being able to have Edward in the room with her.
After the IV was put in everything else was fuzzy, and the next thing she was aware of was waking up in another room, not aware that she had been calling for Edward for the past five minutes. Finally a nurse went to go get him and Bella closed her eyes in the mean time.

This wasn’t exactly a day in which Edward was looking forward to either. He didn’t like it when Bella was anything but content, and she was far from content today. Of course he hadn’t been through what she was going to be doing today, his wisdom teeth weren’t able to come in and they hadn’t before his ‘death’. Though, because of the medical texts he’d read and the couple of times he’d completed the degree, he’d read about dental procedures and this one sounded pretty straight forward. But that was not going to be something that Edward was going to try and bring up with Bella, it would have been an intelligent topic starter. Her mood this morning had indicated how he was going to approach the drive to the place of her surgery, and that was that he wasn’t going to attempt any small talk. Once and a while though he would glance her way to see that she was still doing okay, and she looked to be, aside from biting her nails. Since it was normally a two hour drive and he figured Bella wouldn’t want to leave until it was necessary, Edward decided against the Volvo. The two of them were speeding down the highway in his rarely used Aston Martin. It was much quicker then the Volvo and could get them there in 30 – 45 minutes. Needless to say he was slightly happy to be behind the wheel of the car.
When they arrived Edward stayed close by Bella, still silently being at her side for support. Had it been a normal procedure where she wasn’t need to be sedated Edward would have stayed with her but he knew it wouldn’t exactly be possible today. And well being at a distance when they broke her skin was probably a good idea anyway. When she finished with her paper work and then sat beside him, he held her hand with one of his own and placed the other one near her knee. He was trying to keep her calm but had a good idea that it wouldn’t be possible during the waiting period. Edward occupied himself by honing in hearing on the faintly playing music by the secretary, it wasn’t the best radio station but he wasn’t going to complain. Once catching her gaze head towards the door he had a feeling he knew what she was thinking, though hoped she knew better then to try an escape, he couldn’t allow her to do that. When they called her name, Edward glanced at her and gave her what he hoped was a reassuring smile. When she was gone he picked up some random magazine and pretended to read it as he waited.
Not having kept track of time, though he had been keeping tabs on the dental surgeon that was with Bella, he hadn’t been waiting too too long when a nurse came out of the back coming towards him. Placing down the magazine he followed her to Bella’s room where she was resting, thanking the nurse, he went over to Bella’s bedside and placed a hand over the one of hers that was closest to him. “Hey” Edward said softly not sure if she was still completely awake or not.

Bella was glad that Edward knew when not to talk, like now when they were in the car on the way to her dreaded appointment. She tried to think of a way she could get out of this, but she knew if she were to try anything Edward would know. Damn him for knowing her so well. She knew he was a bit worried as well, because he worried about her constantly. It could be rather annoying at times, but she knew he meant well so she hardly commented about it. She noticed that he didn't take his Volvo out today, instead he took out his Aston Martin, something he didn't use too often. She didn't bother to ask why he had chosen to take it though. The time in which she waited to go in was quiet, except for the sound of her biting her nails. It was a really hard habit to break, especially right now. When Edward took hold of her hand she smiled a little, though it quickly faded as she bounced her knee up and down. She wished they could've just taken her right in because then she wouldn't be planning her escape like she was right now. When he placed his hand near her knee she stopped moving her leg, thinking that the movement and sound was annoying him. Apparently she was the first patient today though, which was probably one of the reasons it was taking a bit longer, they probably had to set up for her. She cringed at the thought of the needle they were going to have to put in her. After her name was called she got up and noticed what appeared to be a reassuring smile on Edward's face. Smiling tightly she then moved to the back with the nurse.
Opening her eyes a little when she heard Edward speak up she looked rather surprised to see him there, "Hey." Bella said, extended the word out slowly before she moved to place her hand on the side of his face, she barely got her hand to touch his face and closed one eye in attempt to make the doubled vision go away. "Two husbands, awesome." She said out loud, and while it made sense to her at the moment, it probably didn't to anyone else. Her eyes widened in surprise after a few seconds of silence, "Edward," Bella began to say, her tone panicked. "My tongue is gone. Is it going to come back?" She asked, not aware that her mouth was just numb.

While they waited in the quiet waiting room Edward could tell how nervous she was, though he figured anyone could tell that. Then again it was probably the normal thing for people who were in the room before heading in for their appointment. Edward kept his hand in hers while they waited, occasionally rubbing his thumb over the back of her hand or giving her hand a light squeeze. Edward, for Bella’s sake hoped that she wouldn’t be waiting too long, that didn’t seem to be something that was all that great for one’s nerves. The placement of his hand hadn’t been meant to prevent her from bouncing her knee, had his hand not been holding hers he would have wrapped his arm around her. When she cringed a bit Edward looked over at her, “How are you doing? You okay?” he asked her with a soft tone, though he had a good idea of what that answer would be. When she got up and walked with the nurse, Edward watched after her until they turned a corner before he settled into the chair.
When her eyes opened, Edward gave her a smile as he looked down at her. “How are you feeling?” He asked her after she drew out her greeting; there was obviously still some medication in her system which was understandable. When her hand touched his face, Edward put his hand over top of hers. When she spoke, Edward couldn’t help the soft chuckle that passed through his lips. “Not quite, I think its still the drugs going through your system.” he told her with a smile. With the bit of space that was on this side of the bed, Edward took a seat beside her looking down when she said his name with a bit of panic which caused him a bit of worry. Though when she voiced what her concern was he was relieved, “Its not gone Bella. Your just numb, the feeling will come back in an hour” he told her taking at a guess at the time frame.

Bella took comfort in knowing that Edward was here with her, rather than being herself. However it didn't take away most of the anxiety she felt at the moment she continued to chew on her nails. Or at least the one that Edward wasn't holding. Glancing around the room briefly she noticed that the receptionist was looking at the two of them until Bella looked her way and she quickly looked away. A blush crept up onto Bella's face and she looked away and down at her feet. When he asked how she was doing and asked if she was okay she simply shrugged her shoulders. She didn't want to lie to him, but she didn't want to tell him that she was terrified either. Moving her gaze away from him she looked down at her legs before she was called to come to the back. She felt Edward's eyes on her as she walked down the hallway until she was around a corner and she was half tempted to make a run for it. Though how far could she get before Edward were to catch her? Would he risk exposure? All of these thoughts ran through her mind as she practically dragged her feet towards the door. At least the people were nice.
She laughed softly when Edward smile at her once her eyes opened. When he asked how she was feeling her response was delayed, "Mmmm." Was her answer, as she couldn't think of how to respond to it. "Can I call you Edward Icehands?" She asked, finding her joke funny though it made little sense. Frowning when he told her that it was the drugs she was on, that there wasn't two of him. "Yes there is, I see two of you." She told him in a tone that made it sound like she were telling the truth. Which she was, she could see two of him. When Edward moved to take a seat on the small bed she rolled over, almost falling off the bed but she quickly grabbed a hold of the railing. Looking back at him she laughed "No, it's gone. I'll never be able to talk again." Bella told him with a frown. Just then an assistant came back in to change her gauze. Asking Edward to move out of the way she then moved to take out the bloody gauze, Bella knew it was coming and looked away from her and over to Edward. Even in the state her brain was at the moment she still didn't like the idea of blood. Especially her own.

Even if Bella would have been fine with coming by herself for this, Edward would have still accompanied her, not just because she would need a drive. It wasn’t exactly something you should do by yourself despite the level of comfort you were at. As Bella chewed her nails, something Edward wasn’t sure how she could do it since there didn’t seem to be any nail left. But he never mentioned anything it was a comforting mechanism for her. Edward’s eyes flickered to the receptionist shortly after Bella’s did though he turned back in Bella’s direction when he felt her blush. When she answered his question with a shrug he nodded, gathering enough from that gesture of her feelings. When she got up after being called Edward’s eyes stayed on her, a part of him wanting to go with her despite the fact that it wasn’t allowed. Though, he knew with what would be going on during the procedure that he was better off in the waiting room.
With past experiences, Edward knew how well Bella reacted to pain medication, so her behaviour wasn’t unexpected though it was still as amusing as it had been the first time he encountered it. When she asked that she add to his name he smiled at her, “If you’d like to.” Edward said, not minding since it seemed to make her happy. When she frowned and then backed up her point of there being two of him, he figured she wasn’t going to back down from that. “Well then I guess you get two of me” he told her holding back a laugh and covering it with a smile. As he took a seat next to her and she rolled over, closer to the edge then what he was comfortable with, a instinct action caused him to put an arm across her waist until she caught herself. “You will be able to, you talking right now…” he said as she frowned. When the assistant came in, Edward moved when asked though only to the other side of Bella knowing she hated blood. It didn’t take long after the gauze was removed for the smell of her blood to reach Edward, a strong and distinct burning filled his throat and he was sure his eye color darkened a shade. But he ignored every instinct that came with that and controlled his reactions better.

If Bella had to, she would've come here by herself. However she was rather comforted by the fact that Edward was willing to come with her. Especially when she knew her mouth would be a mess for a few days, not to mention the blood the first day or so. She was certainly not looking forward to that, and she had a feeling he wasn't either. She would've offered to stay at Charlie's, just so he didn't have to deal with the smell of her blood. However, she knew Edward would not allow her to do so. She knew her biting habit was bad, her mother had tried to get her to stop many times. She had even brought her this nail polish that was supposed to burn your tongue whenever you tried to bite your nails. Turns out she was allergic to one in the ingredients in it, just her luck right? Or well, lack of luck. Bella hadn't caught Edward's brief gaze at the receptionist, but she did feel his eyes on hers when she blushed. She didn't exactly answer his question, but at least he didn't push it. It was rather obvious Bella wasn't in the mood to exactly tell him how she was feeling as it was rather obvious. Of course Bella wanted nothing more than for Edward to be able to come back there with her, but she knew it was impossible. Plus it was probably for the best, as they were basically opening her up in her mouth. Oh she was just looking so forward to this. Not.
Bella, of course, forgot for the most part how she acted when she was on pain medication. Giggly and acting like a complete buffoon. At least Edward seemed to be amused by it, rather than worried. She smiled, as best she could anyway, when he said that she could call him by her new nickname for him if she would like to. "Pft, how could you not see yourself next to you?" Bella asked, not realizing he was covering up his laughter with an innocent smile. Feeling his arm wrap around her she turned to look at him and laughed again. Though it was slightly muffled by the gauze in her mouth. "I am?" She asked in confusion, her brows furrowing. Honestly her memory was rather bad at the moment, so two seconds after speaking she basically forgot she ever had to begin with. Bella was glad Edward hadn't moved too far away from her when the nurse had made her way over to her. Trying not to look at the gauze as the nurse went to dispose of it and then came back with some more to put in her mouth. After taking of the gloves, Bella peered over at the nurse briefly before looking over at Edward when the nurse handed him a prescription for her pain medication and gave him a list of instructions, saying that they could leave whenever she was ready. Of course, Bella was eager to get going and quickly moved up into a sitting position, which only caused her to go dizzy. After a moment she slowly rose to her feet and barely stood up right as she grabbed onto the railing for support.

Edward didn’t mind accompanying Bella to her appointment today, nor did he mind the fact that she was going to be uncomfortable because of the procedure over the next couple of days. Edward wouldn’t have minded Bella suggesting to stay at Charlie’s except for the simple fact that he wouldn’t have been able to stay with her at night because of the new restrictions placed in the treaty. He was sure that he’d be okay with the smell of the blood, though if it did become too much, her staying with Charlie might not be a bad idea. Aside from the brief glance he made at the receptionist he wasn’t quite paying attention to anyone else who was in the building, aside from pushing their thoughts to the back of his mind, not really caring about what they were thinking of. Edward wasn’t going to push getting an answer out of her, he understood how she was feeling and she didn’t need to actually come out and tell him. When she left to go back to the operating area, Edward was left with magazines and a few children’s book, so he’d opted for the magazine. Though, he wasn’t exactly reading it, since he would have liked to stay with Bella he knew he couldn’t but he could still make sure she was doing fine every now and again through the doctor’s thoughts.
There had really only been two times Bella had been like this, on pain medication, the time she was attacked by James, and well the evening after her disastrous birthday party. Because of past experiences, he knew this was a normal reaction for her so he didn’t have to worry that she had some odd reaction to the medication. When she asked him another question, or put a question out there rather, Edward kept the smile on his face for a moment before answering making sure that he wouldn’t laugh. “I guess my vision isn’t as good as yours…” Edward said humouring her since it was easier then trying to make her see things for how they were at the moment. When she laughed, his smile widened before he chuckled to though, that was more at her confusion about whether or not she was actually talking. “You are, yes. So I wouldn’t worry about your tongue.” he told her. Usually his lack of patience would affect how he handled a situation, though when it came to Bella it seemed as though he had an abundance of patience. When the nurse was dealing with Bella’s gauze Edward did his best not to focus on what was taking place, it was easier to prevent his natural reactions. Thanking the nurse when she gave him the prescription and instructions, he looked down at Bella seeing her sit up quickly, “Easy, Bella” Edward said placing a hand on her shoulder figuring she was either dizzy or disorientated by the expression on her face. When she stood up, Edward came over next too her offering her his arm for balance.

Bella was glad that Edward had come with her, though she had tried not to make a big deal about this whole thing it was pretty obvious she was not looking forward to it. If her barely getting any sleep the night before didn't give that away already. While she didn't like the idea of being away from Edward, she also didn't want to make him uncomfortable with the smell of blood coming from her mouth thanks to the dentists that were basically gonna rip open her gums. She shuddered at the thought of it and tried to push her thoughts away from that particular topic. There wasn't any other patients in here, other than her. So that made her feel even more uneasy, though maybe she would've felt the same way if there was someone else in here waiting as well. She kept eying the door, silently trying to think of the possibility of her actually escaping. Trying to be subtle about looking at Edward she knew he would grab her as soon as she tried to move so she thought it would be best if she didn't even bother to try. Sighing she chewed on her almost non-existent nails.
A tired, loopy smile came across Bella's lips when he smiled at her. Though she couldn't really smile as wide as she would've liked to. "It's because you're getting old." Bella told him when he told her that his vision wasn't as good as hers. "Maybe you should get glasses." Bella said before laughing rather pathetically at her own joke. "You have a cute laugh." She told him as her eyes slipped closed for a moment before he spoke up again. "I thought they had taken out my tongue out by accident." She explained to him, eyes opening slowly to look up at him. After the nurse had left the room, Bella was rather eager to get out of here and was a bit too quick in sitting up. "I'm fine." She mumbled as she weakly shoved his hand away from her shoulder. Or at least attempted to, as her hand never made his or anywhere close to his body. Stumbling slightly once she was on her feet she decided to take advantage of Edward's offered support and placed her hand on his arm. "Are we going home now?" She asked him in a slightly slurred and muffled tone, attempting to walk out of the door, not realizing the door was closed at the moment.

Maybe it was the highly protective streak running through Edward when it came to Bella that had him accompanying Bella on this trip to the dentist. Though, of course it wasn’t something that she could do on her own, and well who else was abetter to accompany her here. He also had a feeling that Bella would try to get out of this if there wasn’t someone to come with her, and it wasn’t exactly something that she should be avoiding. There was the smell of blood that would have to be dealt with but he was sure that it wouldn’t bother him too much that he’d have to avoid her, though even if it did bother him a lot he wasn’t going to admit it. It was quieter in the office then Edward had expected it to be, then again it was pretty early in the morning. Every once and a while, Edward would catch her eyes darting around the room, which made him a bit more curious then normal about what she was thinking but he didn’t question her.
Edward couldn’t help but smile when the drug induced one came to Bella’s lips. Her smiles were usually contagious in general but when she was in this state it was even worse. Edward laughed softly when she mentioned him getting old having to do with his eyesight. “I suppose it is time that my sight caught up with my age” he mused looking down at her. “I’ll consider glasses” he added humouring her for the main part knowing that trying to reason with her usually didn’t end any better then her being slightly confused in this state. “I assure you, your tongue is where it’s always been” he told her with a smile before the nurse walked in. As the nurse left Edward could see that Bella could taste the freedom that came from being discharged. Ignoring her feeble attempt at moving his hand off her shoulder he nodded when she insisted that she was fine, not that he was completely assured of. He was glad that she’d taken his arm when he offered it, it would be easier to make sure that she stayed standing this way then having to worry about catching her. “I think that would be best, you’ll be able to rest better” he told her as they walked towards the door, making sure to open it before Bella could walk into it.

Bella knew that Edward could be majorly protective of her, and at times that could really bother her. Though it was pointless to argue with him, as he would just get his way anyway. He definitely had his way of doing so, that was for sure. It was true, that if he had not come with her, she might've either skipped going all together, or come up with some sort of pathetic excuse. Bella kind of liked that it was quiet, sometimes she hated it when it was noisy when she was nervous. Though there was soft music playing in the background, it sounded like country. Bella had noticed Edward looking at her when she would look around the room, but she didn't bother to look at him.
Her smile widened a bit more, or well as much as she could right now when he smiled at her. "You're really cute when you smile." She informed him as she reached up to touch his face, almost poking him in the eye as she did. Though of course she really wasn't aware of it. "It's about time." She said, dropping her hand for it to hang limply over the side of the bed. "Glasses? No, those would look silly on you." She told him with a frown, imagining how he would look with glasses. "If you say so." Bella muttered when he assured her that her tongue was where it always had been, though she eyed him skeptically. Bella was glad the nurse left, because she just wanted to get out of here. Even when she was drugged up, she still didn't like it when Edward offered to help her out. However when she almost fell again she decided to take his assistance and walked out with him to go to the car. Staying silent for the time being she was glad they were finally outside but she squinted at the natural light, even if the sun was behind the clouds her eyes still hurt from being in a dim-lighted room for quite sometime. As they got to the passenger's door she moved to open the door but it wouldn't open. "It's locked." She complained before some blood slid down the side of her mouth and to her chin, to which she was oblivious of at this point.

Edward’s grin turned to a soft smile when she gave her opinion on how he looked when he was smiling. “Thank you, so are you.” Edward said looking down at her as she reached up towards him. Catching where her hand was angled at before she got too close, not that it would have bothered him, Edward moved his head just a little to adjust to her hand so that she would miss poking him in the eye. Laughing at her comment, agreeing with him about his supposedly bad eyesight (basically to humour her in this state) he nodded. “I guess I’ll have to go with contacts then” Edward said, of course that wouldn’t be in anyway practical since he figured they’d dissolve in no time. “I wouldn’t lie to you about that.” he told her knowing that she didn’t believe him about her tongue just by the tone her voice took on and of course it was difficult not to notice when she gave him a skeptical look. Ignoring the fact that she usually liked to do things on her own, Edward gave her help with walking out of the office. He knew it would be difficult for her to get around with the medication she was on so he wasn’t about to let her refuse his assistance.
Edward got the doors for her on the way out and then led her to her side of the car, not trusting her luck under these circumstances. Before he could unlock the doors she tried them, “Here you go” he said unlocking the door and taking the handle before looking up at her, noticing the blood trickling down her chin. Swallowing the venom filling his mouth, Edward contemplated for a moment before reaching out and wiping the blood away before quickly wiping it on a Kleenex he’d taken from the dentist’s office. “Here, you might need this again.” he said giving her the Kleenex before he got into his side of the Aston Martin.
The trip home, aside from the stop at the pharmacy, went rather quickly. Of course that could have been partly contributed to his driving. It wasn’t as quiet on the way home as it had been on the way there, since well Bella was still under the effect of the pain killers. He always found that the drive home never took as long as the trip to your destination, though that could just be him. Pulling into the make-shift drive way of their cottage home, Edward killed the ignition deciding he’d return the car to the main house’s garage at a different time figuring Bella would just want to be home, and well she was bleeding still from her incisions and placing her in a house of vampires wasn’t fair to her or his family. “Finally back home. How are you feeling?” he asked looking over at her just after the car was turned off.

"Aw shucks." Bella said before laughing, though it sounded muffled from the gauze still being in her mouth. "Has my hand always been this big?" She asked out loud, though it was more to herself than to him. Everything seemed so different to her right now, and she knew she was acting like a fool but she couldn't exactly help it. Whatever she was thinking she was saying, as if she had no control over herself at the moment. "I want to be normal again." Bella told her husband, suddenly becoming emotional as a few tears sprung to her normal. "Am I going to be like this forever?" She asked him as her lower lip trembled a bit, though she couldn't feel it as her entire mouth was still numb. "You should get green, wasn't that your eye color before?" She asked, at the moment forgetting. "Mmm, I guess you wouldn't." Bella said, still slightly suspicious. Bella knew Edward would not let it go if she tried to refuse him from helping her, so she let him help her out of the place. Plus it was hard for her to walk and she really didn't feel like injuring herself today.
When they got out to where his car was, she hadn't noticed the blood dripping down the side of her mouth until Edward wiped his finger against her chin. A confused expression took hold of her face as she looked at him as if he were nuts. "What?" She asked before she was handed a tissue. Making a face she felt her stomach churn at the site of the blood. Quickly looking away from the tissue she got into the car, not even bothering with the seatbelt as she moved to curl up on her side in the passengers seat.
Bella was babbling her and there, and sometimes passing out for a few minutes, obviously in the need of sleep after having been up basically all night beforehand. She had stayed in the car when Edward went in to the local pharmacy to get her prescription. Closing her eyes for a few minutes as they got closer to the cottage Bella peered up at Edward when he told her that they were finally home. "Tired." She admitted when he asked how she was feeling. "When did we get home?" Bella asked, forgetting that she had just been told that they were finally home.

Edward chuckled at her reply, her muffled couple of words though he furrowed his brows when she asked him about her hand. Though, she seemed to be talking to herself so Edward just let that one go. It had been a very long time since Edward had been administered any sort of medication, whether it was for pain or not so this experience for her wasn’t something that he could just easily relate to since his memory on that part of his life was quite fussy. When she spoke again Edward’s expression when sympathetic as he noticed the couple of tears falling over her cheeks, wiping them away lightly with his thumb. “No Bella, it’ll only be for a little while. You’ll be yourself again before you know it.” he told her quietly, placing a kiss on her forehead. “Yes they were, I think green would be a good choice.” Edward said smiling at her. Even though he didn’t usually offer her his help a lot of the time, unless she needed it and then he was a bit more persistent like he was now.
Noticing the blood trickling down her lips wasn’t exactly something that Edward could miss or ignore, and it was better to get rid of it before they got into the car. “You’ve got a bit of blood dripping…” Edward told her when she basically asked what he was doing. Momentarily forgetting about her issue with blood, he apologized before taking a seat on the drivers side. Not mentioning anything about her seat belt, since well there wasn’t a chance of an accident he just started the car and headed back towards Forks.
Kind of glad the car ride back wasn’t as quiet, Edward kept up with the conversation that Bella was making even if she tended to switch topics easily or black out here and there. He was glad she decided to stay in the car while he picked up her prescription, it was probably better for her to rest in the car. When she looked over at him as he stopped the car, “You can sleep more comfortably when we get inside.” he told her. “A couple of minutes ago. How about we get you inside?” he said glancing over at her.

Bella stand at her hand for a moment before she let it drop back to her side and her gaze moved to Edward again. She knew she was making a fool of herself, but she couldn't exactly control herself. It was a very weird feeling, something she really couldn't describe to anyone. She didn't particularly like it, because she basically had no control over what she was saying and for some reason kept getting emotional. Like she was now, worrying if she'd ever be normal again because this feeling was not very fun. "Promise?" She asked through a muffled sob, with all the gauze in her mouth it made it hard to close her mouth properly. She was sure she looked like a chipmunk. "I like your gold eyes too though." She admitted with a tiny smile.
Honestly, Bella hadn't noticed anything was wrong until he explained to her that she had a bit of blood dripping down from her mouth. She made a face at the mention of blood, even though he apologized for bringing it up. The whole blood thing was definitely not something she was looking forward to, that was for sure. She kept the tissue near her mouth, though after a few minutes in the car she had fallen asleep for a little bit, the slightly bloody tissue falling from her rather pathetic grasp and onto the seat. She awoke a few minutes later, and had forgotten all about the little bit of blood that had been dripping down her lip. She talked with Edward sometimes, other times she found herself drifting off for a few minutes. Though it felt a lot longer than that. She was not in the mood to get up when Edward went into the local pharmacy to get her prescription, so instead she stayed out in the car, arms wrapped around her legs and her head resting against the window. When he explained that she could sleep more comfortably when they got inside, and that they had arrived at home a few minutes ago she glanced around before looking back at him. Her response to his question rather delayed. "I can do it myself." She told him and moved to get out of the car. Pushing at the door it took her a moment to realize she had to actually open the door handle to do so and pulled at it before it finally opened. Trying to figure out the best way to get out of the car, even the logical thing to do was to just get up, she kind of slid out of the car and onto the forest floor. Instead of immediately getting up, as the leaves were wet she just sat there.
