It was amazing the amount of changes the body could go through when put through extreme circumstances. It wasn’t exactly something you could understand unless you were actually witnessing it for yourself. This was exactly what Nickholas was doing, living one of those extreme changes, or well not exactly living. Existing was a better way to describe what he was now doing, and not by his own choice. But then again Nic had to wonder who exactly would want this sort of life, it didn’t make sense when he thought about it that way. Then again it was probably something you would have to get use with time but its been at least a couple of months and Nic wasn’t really any closer to acceptance then he was when he first found out what he was. Accepting something like this though took effort, and well if you knew Nic at all, putting effort into something was never his first choice of action.
But he was dealing considerably better, more relaxed even if you’d like to go that far. He socialized a bit more in the group but still wasn’t able to kick any of those bad habits his personality so he wasn’t a favourite among the grouping of vampires. Not surprising this didn’t bother him in the least bit. He was working on that though, he had to get to trust them in some sense if he was going to fight with them and trust his life in their hands, you had to develop some sort of loyalty to be able to do that without any sort of concern for your well being. Actually he was a bit iffy on that but from his understanding it seemed like the only option and these two groups in Forks didn’t seem like the greatest.
Honestly, he probably wouldn’t be as laid back with this whole ordeal if he hadn’t made a selfish move a month or so back. He was the reason behind why Ella had also joined the ranks of a vampire army of sorts, before hand he hadn’t been all too sure of how they would have worked out in the future. But if this didn’t scream commitment Nic didn’t know what did, though he understood being pissed off at him for a little while, but they seemed to have moved past that. You probably wouldn’t get him to admit it but he hated when they fought, making up of course wasn’t something he minded. But that was an entirely different topic.
He was actually taking a break from the claustrophobic train track home he’d been living in for the last two months. It was that need for fresh air that had him sitting in some park on a hill overlooking everything below. And well some one-on-one time with Ella was always something that he liked, a reason why he’d suggested hanging back from the group after the hunt was finished. With vibrant red eyes scanning the horizon, Nic leaned back in the grass propping himself up on his elbows waiting for Ella to join him.

Ella still couldn't believe the strength she had now, she wasn't exactly weak in her human life, but now nothing could harm her and she took comfort in that. There were times that she was still bitter with Nick, but when she saw him it was hard to stay mad at him. They had gone their separate ways tonight when they had gone hunting, though there were times they hunted together. On her way to where they had agreed to meet up at, Ella decided to take care of a few more humans. It was amazing how much she craved blood, all the time. Even after having had drained three humans, she had to take down two more. After that she felt rather disgusted in the sense that she almost felt bloated. The burning in her throat was soothed, for now. Though she wasn't sure how long she would last before she'd want more humans. She knew she had to be careful though, as to not let people get suspicious. Of course, Ella had tried to socialize with everyone in the 'group', but she wasn't fond of a lot of the people there. So maybe she hadn't really given them a chance yet, but she wasn't about to. At least, not right now.
Picking up Nick's scent, a slight smile came to her lips as she ran forward through the empty park. Walking would just slow her down from getting to him, something she wasn't fond of right now. At seeing him on the grass, propped up on his elbows her smile widened before she slowed down and stood a few feet from him. "Miss me?" She asked teasingly, unable to keep the smile off her lips.

He had to admit, there were a few things he enjoyed a lot about this new life style. The strength was unbelievable and he enjoyed the destroying capability that came with it. He’d taken a couple of hours just testing out his strength and getting use to it, though one could only up root so many trees before it would become noticeable in any sense so he had to settle with the mild satisfaction of crumbling rocks with a simple squeeze of his hand. So he wasn’t completely bitter about how things had played out with this life change. In a way, and with a very cocky attitude, he was indestructible with his immortality. It was something everyone at some point wanted, to have themselves suspended forever unchanging and he had that, of course the were a few sacrifices he had to make but really when it came to giving up a human life of bad choice to a never ending one. Really, there wasn’t a contest when you gave it little thought.
There were a couple of regrets he had because of this way of life, a bit of guilt moved through him whenever he saw that Ella had to share this life. He’d done to her what Bree had done to him which made him angry with her. Hypocritical, yes obviously, but he didn’t like life with out her knowing she was out there and he couldn’t do anything about it. But he shook his head at those thoughts. As soon as his mind went towards those sorts of sentimental thoughts he tried to get rid of them just as quickly as they came. The lack or burial of most emotions was something else that he welcomed right now, he’d never been fond of them and this just made it a bit easier to ignore them.
He wasn’t sitting there in the grass very long before he heard a very light rustling of brush and leaves behind him in the distance. That had taken some getting use to, recognizing all the sounds and smells as well all around you. Sensing her standing behind him, Nic leaned back further on his elbows so that he tilt his head back far enough to see her, even if she was upside down in his view. Smiling slyly at her teasing tone he laughed slightly, “Why wouldn’t I?” he asked lifting an eyebrow as he spoke.

Ella had to learn how to be careful with her strength, as it was no fun when she killed her prey before they could even attempt to fight back. She had learn to be a little bit more gentle, but she still had a lot to learn. It was all too easy for her to break something strong and hard, such as a boulder. She had to admit that she kind of enjoyed that though. She wasn't exactly weak as a human, but nothing compared to what strength she had now. Honestly, Ella had never given much thought to how she would be, or what her future would be, when she grew older. So maybe it was fate all along, that she would be turned. At least there was something to look forward to, seeing Nick. She really did love him, even if he had screwed up more than once during their relationship. Usually, Ella cut everything off when someone cheated on her, but she found it hard to do so with Nick. She loved him, even if he was a bit of a screw up. She smiled at her own thoughts, excited to see him again. She knew why Nick had done what he had done, and of course there was still some resentfulness there, but she knew he did it because he feared not seeing her again. She had been a wreck, or at least she vaguely remembered being a wreck when she thought he was dead and in a way he was. Now so was she.
She couldn't help but smile down at Nick when he looked up at her. "Hm, I don't know." She said, pretending to think it over before moving at full speed down to kneel in front of him. Wrapping her arms around him she leaned her weight against him and kissed him with enough passion to think they hadn't seen each other in months. She knew he wouldn't mind though.

Carefully calculating your movements according to your strength was never anything Nic did, nor had he thought he ever would. Of course, taking the time to actually think through his actions wasn’t always something that he did, impulse was more his style and it seemed to get him in trouble a fair amount of the time. Though now it was more often then not to make sure that he didn’t give anything away if he was in the presence of humans and wasn’t suppose to kill them. He couldn’t just reach out and pick something up and have it crumble in your hand, that wasn’t close to blending in. Destruction of things in nature though could have its perk, it was a sure way to cure boredom and of course let out some pent up anger.
Really though, if he was being honest with himself (which he rarely was concerning this topic) there wasn’t anything wrong with being part of the un-dead or walking dead, however you wanted to categorize them. You really were invincible aside from a few little things that could end your immortality forever. He felt bad for having brought Ella into this life style and well was a bit surprised that he hadn’t killed her when he bit into her. She was just part of his human life that he couldn’t give up, and would just because someone said he had to. Sure he’d messed up a few times, most of those times being things most wouldn’t forgive him for doing. He loved, even if it wasn’t always obvious which was why the idea of spending eternity by himself intimidated him in a sense. He hadn’t liked leaving her without any sort of warning or anything either, he cared a lot more for her then what he let on most of the time.
Grinning up at her chuckling as she pretended to mull over why he wouldn’t miss her. Sitting up as she placed herself in front of him, catching her movements only because his sight was heightened after he became a vampire. When she wrapped an arm around him, Nic wrapped one of his own around her waist, holding her close to him. When she kissed him, Nic brought his other hand up to her face allowing himself to fall back on to the grass. Kissing her back, he was never more aware of how breathing was just something that got in the way at a time like this.

Ella was the strongest of the group at the moment, as she was the newest to the 'group'. Even though Nick was only older by a few months, vampire wise she did have the advantage over him by a little. She liked feeling stronger than him though, the tables were turned for a while and she found that rather amusing. She loved to tease him about that at times, and she could tell it got to him. Even if it was just a little bit. To her own surprise, Ella had become accustomed to this lifestyle rather quickly. As dramatic as it may sound, she really hadn't felt she left much behind. She had Nick, who had been the most important thing in her life. You could only imagine how much of a wreck she had been when she thought he had been killed. Though in a way, he had been. As had she, by him.
Smiling when he sat up just as she placed herself in front of him, she felt her smile widen even more so when he wrapped an arm around her waist, pressing herself flush up against him willingly. Brushing her fingers across the side of his face she then leaned in to kiss him. Feeling them move down into the grass, she didn't protest though. She was just glad that breathing wasn't necessary right now. Kissing Nick rather roughly she moved one of her hands slowly down his chest. Ever since her change, for whatever reason, she had become rather intimate with Nick. Well, she had been before they were changed, but she wasn't afraid to be intimate with him in public with anymore. Plus, what human in their right mind would be coming out here, to a park, at this time of night? An idiot maybe. Though she couldn't say she'd be disappointed to see another human, she wouldn't mind a 'snack'. Moving her lips slowly away from his, her breathing was rather erratic as she trailed her lips down the side of his throat, kissing him on a spot that she knew got to him and unable to keep a tiny, knowing smile off her lips for a few seconds.

The strength had to be the thing that Nic loved the most about this new lifestyle, and up until a little while ago he’d been the strongest in the group. It had been something he had liked to hold over the group, though Ella now had that position. That wasn’t something that bothered him, well at least not for the most part. When they were human together he liked using his strength over her at times when they were playing around. Now that she was stronger she was doing that with him, payback he figured. He tried to have it not bother him but he was just one of those people that got sort of bothered by that sort of thing. Slowly he was adapting to this way of life, he had an issue with grudges and was still not that happy that he hadn’t had a choice in the matter but honestly there seemed to be more upsides to this then there were down sides. And well the talk of a fight breaking out seemed like it could be fun in a way. He was also a bit better, attitude wise, now that he turned Ella it was nice to have someone around that you knew more then a couple of months or weeks. She’d been the only one he’d worried about after he was changed, his family never crossed his mind, but he wasn’t on the beset of terms with them.
When her smile widened, Nic’s lips formed a rather mischievous smirk as she got herself situated in front of him. When she pressed herself up against him, his arm wrapped tightly around her, not worrying about hurting her since that was basically impossible. His smirk turned to a smile at the feeling of her fingers slipping across his face before he was completely occupied by the kiss. Keeping one of his hands on the small of her back, Nic moved the other to the side of her face moving to tangle it in her hair. This wasn’t exactly a stretch from how he’d been when he was human, he’d always been willing for this sort of behaviour, it was maybe just a bit more magnified now. He didn’t exactly care that they were in the middle of the woods, it was better then the hideout area, at least here they had an abundance of privacy. Even though breathing wasn’t necessary, it was still a force of habit, his was rather erratic as she moved her lips from his own only to cover other parts of his skin. As she continued moving her lips over his throat he knew what she was doing, moving his neck so had better access. “You can be so cruel” he said with a smile as his eyes drifted close.

Indeed, Ella was getting her payback from all those times Nick would use his strength against her. It wasn't that Ella had been weak, but he was just stronger than she was. So to have that be the opposite now, she found it rather amusing. She knew that he could easily become annoyed by the littlest of things, and admittedly she used that against him sometimes for her own amusement. Honestly, after realizing Nick was missing, she thought for sure he was dead. So it was obviously a surprise when she found out he was still alive, in a sense.
She loved it when he smirked, just because he looked rather adorable when doing so. Grinning when she pressed herself up against him and he wrapped an arm around her tightly she traced her fingers gently down the side of his face. She still found it odd at times how much she loved someone so the opposite of her. They completed one another, it wasn't something Ella could easily explain to someone who hasn't felt this way before. Maybe it wasn't something that couldn't be explained. Looking into his eyes when she traced her fingers on the contour of his face she had to admit that she missed his baby blues at times. Even though her memories were fading she could still remember thinking how gorgeous his eyes were. She practically melted into the kiss when his lips touched her own. She had literally gone weak in the knees quite a few times when she had kissed him, it could be either humiliating or amusing. Feeling his fingers tangle themselves in her hair she wrapped her arms around him tightly, pressing herself even harder against his body. She grinned against his neck when she felt him tilt his head to the side so she had more access to his neck. Ella laughed softly when he told her that she could be so cruel. "Yes I am." She breathed against his neck before pressing another kiss against it, "But you love it." Ella said in a confident tone as she whispered against his ear before nipping at it lightly. She couldn't stop smiling, amused by his comment.

Despite the fact that at times he wasn’t fond of her displaying her strength over him, he had to admit it was fun at times. Because she was stronger now he didn’t have to worry about how much of his strength he was using when they played around. Eventually they would be equal in strength, he knew that since everyone else’s strength nearly matched his now, so he’d get back at her just like she was getting back at him now. If it were someone else, Nic was sure that he would take it so easily, there were many things that Ella could do with him that he wouldn’t have allowed from other people, she mellowed him a bit. He hadn’t noticed how much he had needed her for that reason until he spent that month or two away from her.
Ella was the person that brought the better side of Nic, whether he would admit that or not depended on the type of mood you caught him in. Honestly, when you compared the two of them together, Nic wasn’t exactly sure what he’d done to land her but he wasn’t going to start questioning that especially when they were in this compromising position that would just be stupidity. There wasn’t anything though that could pull him away from this relationship. Nic’s eyes followed the movement of her fingers, at least until it wasn’t comfortable then his eyes rested on her bright red ones, a soft smile taking a hold of his lips.
Had his lips been free at the moment he would have smirked as he took notice of her reaction to the kiss, he’d felt it many times before, and at times he’d put extra effort into a kiss just to get that reaction out of her. Feeling her pulling herself closer to him, Nic’s fingers tightened in her hair while the other travelled up her back a bit. Nic was completely at ease as her lips moved over his neck. When she didn’t deny the fact that she could be cruel Nic couldn’t help but laugh before she placed another kiss against his skin. “Mmmm, but you know… two can play at that game babe” Nic said, a smirk resting on his lips, though he didn’t wait to long to quickly switch their positions, which for a vampire was extremely fast. Keeping their close proximity he looked down at her with a smirk on his lips before capturing her lips with his again.

Ella had heard about how much of a 'rebel' Nick had been when he first came to her school, but she only believed that to a point. She could see the good in him, which despite how much he had tried to hide it from her, had come out after getting to know him and growing rather close and fond of him. It was easy to see now how she could love him, but before meeting him she had never seen herself getting together with someone like him. Honestly, she had been a bit hesitant to go out with him because she had heard of him cheating quite a bit and he had when they were together. Yet somehow she was able to push that aside and so did he, because he stopped. She never thought that someone could actually love her the way he seemed to, and sometimes she still worries if he actually loves her. She has a lot of self-doubt, which is something she tries to hide from others. Even from Nick at times. Though there are times when he seems to see right through that, and it's rather scary how well he seems to know her. Then again she knows him pretty well too.
While she seemed to bring out the 'good' in him, he tended to bring out the rebellious side of her. Admittedly it was rather thrilling at times, to just go with the flow and not listen to authority figures like her parents. Though of course they did not seem fond at all of the way she had started to act when she grew closer to Nick, but she honestly couldn't care less of what they thought of her new behavior and even less about what they thought about Nick. Her smile turned into a grin when she saw his eyes follow the movement of her fingers gently sliding down the side of his face, a small giggle escaping her lips. He could really look adorable sometimes, like right now. She knew how much he liked to take advantage of kissing her the way he did, because of the effect it had on her. Ella really couldn't hate him for it simply because it felt too good to tell him to stop. Plus it was hard to protest when your lips are a bit preoccupied at the moment. At the feeling of his fingers tighten in her hair and the other hand of his traveling down her back she felt a shiver of pleasure run through her. He knew all of her weak spots and tended to use them to his advantage. Not that she really minded.
Grinning against his skin when she heard him laugh, she listened to him as he spoke up, her lips pressing against his neck as she trailed kisses down them. Before she had time to question his statement she felt herself being rolled over so he was on top now. "Not fair." She complained somewhat jokingly as a smile came to her lips. Grinning up at him she watched him as he leaned down and she closed her eyes again as he kissed her again. Wrapping her arms around the back of his neck her mind was occupied with the kiss until she heard a heart beat, a rather fast one at that. She then heard heavy breathing that was not her own or Nick's and she pulled away from the kiss without hesitation as she felt the venom begin to swirl around in her mouth. There was a human jogging through the park, at night all by them self. How stupid could you be? Looking from the direction she heard the human she then looked up at Nick, a grin coming to her lips. "You want to?" She asked, wondering if he was up to hunting again.

Nick was far from the perfect human being, and well he was sure his parents or well aunt and uncle would gladly attest to that. Though with his sudden disappearance he wasn’t sure how they felt about him now, not that he really cared he didn’t do well in their house hold like his parents had thought. For a brief period he had wondered what his parents had thought when his uncle had to tell them that he lost their son. But the dislike he’d initially had for the town didn’t last long, his reputation as the badass didn’t take him long to accumulate and after sifting through a few of the girls he had luckily stumbled upon Ella. He was never good with any sort of relationship with people so it took him a while to get the hang of being in a serious relationship with someone. It had surprised him that she’d had that much patients and even a bit of faith in him after he cheated several times. For a while he hadn’t been able to grasp the one person at a time concept but eventually he got the hang of it. He got the cheating under control, but he couldn’t lie and say another woman never caught his eye because that was just a part of his personality, he just new his boundaries now and what was more important to him.
She did happen to change him though, which had surprised him more then he thought. Nick had never intended on allowing someone to change him. He honestly never thought he’d encounter someone that had the strong will and ability to work at getting his underlying personality to come to the top. Ella did that rather easily in his opinion at least, though he knew he had a bit of a negative affect on her. Nothing too serious, well at times, though he knew her parents didn’t quite agree with that but then again he wasn’t one that ever cared what people thought, if he did he wouldn’t have taken part in half the things he’s done so far. Catching her smile turn to a bit of a grin from the corner of his eye he couldn’t help but smile up at her. Yes, she really knew how to bring out a side of him that rarely anyone ever saw. Nick wouldn’t deny the fact that he used certain things he had as an advantage over her, he enjoyed it actually and figured that wasn’t something he couldn’t even start to hide even if he wanted to. If his lips were preoccupied at the moment, her reaction would have caused a smile to come to his lips and probably a small laugh.
As her lips grazed his skin, he had to put a bit of effort into concentrating on what he wanted to say or he was sure it wouldn’t make much sense since she wasn’t making it easy for him to think at the moment. Though he had no problems switching up the playing field, which was exactly what he’d done by switching them without much warning to her. He smirked when she insisted that it wasn’t fair, ”When have you ever known me to play fair?” Nick said before he was once again occupying her lips with his own, placing one of his hands on the side of her face while his other held him up so that she wasn’t bearing all his weight. Noticing it the same time that Ella did he was sure, he picked up the sound of a heart beat and heavy breathing and it split his attention in two. With the human in the picture he was slightly conflicted, there was no doubt that he wanted to kill who ever it was that was stupid enough to be out at this hour, but he was more then happy to stay right where he was as well. Looking down at her when she looked at him he smiled at though it didn’t take long for it to turn into a smirk. ”Race you” he said before placing a quick and slightly rough kiss on her lips and then scrambling to his feet and taking off. She was faster then he was so a head start didn’t’ seem like cheating, at least not in his eyes.

Ella hadn't seen herself as perfect as a human, far from it actually. Her life growing up wasn't what you'd call ideal. Still, with Nick in her life now, she had nothing to complain about. She had met his aunt and uncle briefly, and it had been rather awkward to be honest. She was glad when Nick was quick to take her away from them, because she could tell she was not welcomed by them. She too, wondered what her family had thought of when they found out their daughter had 'died'. Honestly though, Ella didn't think about that too much. Ella had only had a few boyfriends before she had gone out with Nick, and it wasn't the first time a guy had cheated on her. Yet she couldn't stop from going back to Nick, unlike the other ones who she just called jack asses and never spoke to them again. He was different. It took her a while to fully accept his habit of looking at other girls, even when they were together. She could get rather jealous times, but it certainly wasn't as bad as it had been.
Just as she seemed to change him, he had changed her in many ways too. She learned to have a lot more fun, even though she wasn't a stick in the mud before she met him, she certainly was more laid back than she had been. She didn't see this as a bad thing, but her mother certainly did, not that she really cared. She and her mother were far from being close, that was for damn sure. She loved to see him smile, he had the cutest smile and she knew it was genuine by the way his eyes seemed to light up. She knew the differences in his smiles by now.
She knew he liked it when she kissed his neck, so it was pretty funny whenever he attempted to concentrate. Then again, she was the same way when he kissed her. When she was suddenly under him she tried to keep the smile off her face and pretended to be mad. "Never." She said with a pout before a smile came to her lips again just as he leaned down to kiss her again. Not too worried about him putting all of his weight on her she moved to lean up into him as best she could. Wrapping her arms around the back of his neck, she was glad that breathing wasn't necessary because she loved to kiss him. However, when she heard someone jogging through she knew she couldn't pass up the opportunity. Her smile widened when he told her he'd race her, kissing him back as lips touched hers it left her flustered for the tiniest of seconds before she was up on her feet and running in the direction of where the girl was. It was true that she was faster than Nick and she was indeed first towards the girl. Deciding what her plan of action would be, whether to just attack the girl, or mess with her a little. As the wind blew in her direction she could feel a snarl rising in her chest and she knew that she couldn't handle messing with the human first. As soon as she caught sight of her she was off again and lunged at her before the girl could react. Biting right into the girl's jugular vein she didn't even think about waiting for Nick.

Nic had never really given much thought to the fact that he could be a bad influence on people, let alone Ella. Hell Nic wasn’t even close to being the role model boyfriend figure. He’d never been one for easily sticking to one girl and basically didn’t care if they fought with him over the matter; he usually just ignored it and moved on. That wasn’t exactly the case with Ella, he didn’t like the idea of hurting her but it was a very hard habit to break especially when the habit was something you enjoyed a lot of. But when it came to his negative points of course his guardian figures thought completely different and even a couple times pointed out those negative points, but he’d tried not to spend a lot of time with them or in they’re house. He’d proven that when Ella basically spent a total of ten minutes in they’re company. He wasn’t going to let them speak with her and give her the fifth degree; he wouldn’t have even allowed his actually parents to do that so why would he give his aunt and uncle that privilege?
It had always amused him to some degree the way that parents often received him. He was well aware that father’s tended to hate him from the get go and mothers were constantly cautious. Nic after a couple of parent meetings tried to make it a rule not to meet them if he knew the relationship wasn’t going anywhere which happened a lot. He’d met Ella’s mother briefly and he could tell that she wasn’t his biggest fan but as long as that didn’t have any bearing on Ella (thankfully it didn’t) he didn’t exactly care seeing as he was dating her daughter and not her.
Concentration was never something that came easy to Nic whenever Ella’s lips found they’re way to his neck. He had a funny feeling that she found that fact to be rather amusing. When he switched up their position so that he was looking down at her he didn’t even attempt to keep the amusement off his features. “Exactly” He said grinning down at her before he occupied her lips again leaning closer to her when she lean up to him. Slipping an arm under her back he brought the two of them closer together though there wasn’t much space between them in the first place. As much as he’d love to stay there with Ella for as long as she wanted he knew a good kill would be good for both of them despite just having hunted, no vampire in they’re right mind would turn down a kill. He knew he’d never get to the human first but that didn’t really bother him, he came to terms with it by now. Despite that he ran as fast as he could and he didn’t arrive at the human that long after Ella did. Leaving Ella with the jugular, once he was at the girls side, Nic didn’t waste any time, he wanted the blood. Using his strength it didn’t take long to clear path to her femoral artery. It wasn’t exactly the neck but the artery in the upper leg was a main one and quite vital in survival so it didn’t’ take him long to sink his teeth into her leg and draw out the blood.
