Jared is a bit of a complex character, not in the sense that there are many different sides to him that you have to unlock though. No, he’s just got a bunch of different personality times all rolled into one which makes him rather balanced at times.
• At times Jared can prove to be serious and quiet. He loves the idea of having things secure and safe, especially if it can be kept to a peaceful atmosphere. He loves to make sure that he’s thorough which causes his rounds to some times end later then they should. He’s completely responsible and always there when you need him, always. Its quite difficult to knock his concentration when he doesn’t want to be bothered or anything. His tendency to be organized and hard working proves to be a good asset with the pack.
• Jared is probably one of the most friendly guys you’ll ever meet. In school he was the guy that talked to basically everyone so long as he liked you. Being a wolf risk taking comes with the territory and well he does love a good risk every now and again. He enjoys the fast paced life style he was given, even if its physically demanding at times. Though one down side is that he hates to sit through extensive explanations, which means every time a new wolf joins.
• Finally, you’ll notice that Jared is one of the most protective wolves you’ll meet, but not necessarily in the most obvious ways. He can be very subtle about it at times and others he can show his protective side pretty easily. Jared is especially protective of Kim, she’s everything to him and you don’t mess with her.

FULL LENGTH HISTORY:
Jared was born into a two person family, his mother Cheyenne and his father Howi had been hoping for a child for a couple of years, putting them above the age of his friends. They were delighted with their new son, and were slightly protective of him for the first couple of years, it changed a bit when his sister was born. It made Jared the oldest in a family of two children, his sister Kimana, three years younger then him. Jared grew up on the reservation much like any of the other children did, nothing out of the extraordinary happening to him though he had a bit of a daring streak to him which earned him a couple of stitches here and there nothing serious. Because of his different heritage, having one parent not being from the reservation, Jared learned not only the stories of the Quileute natives but of those from his mother’s side. He wasn’t quite gullible enough to believe the stories when he was younger, but unknowingly that would definitely change. All and all he was a well behaved child, though he had a small attitude at times and acted like a protective big brother all the time.
It was when he became a teenager that things took a huge change for Jared, not only did he go through the natural growth spurts that teenagers do but one that would change him completely. He started to not only pack on the pounds which turned to muscle and he grew taller then anyone expected. His parents didn’t show too much worry though which surprised him, though that was only until his appetite began to pick up, he got a bit of flack for that at home, and his sister teased him about it more then necessary. Jared tried to play it off as if nothing was happening, but it wasn’t exactly an easy task. He found that got more easily agitated and felt like he had a constant fever.
But it was one day after school that he figured out what was going on with him. Jared had gotten into a bit of an argument with some guy that wouldn’t leave his sister alone, the argument escalated and Jared lost his temper. He’d had enough sense though to walk away, or rather run when he started to shake. Good thing seeing as that was the first time Jared phased. He wasn’t sure what was going on with him, and of course he panicked for a little while. But it wasn’t long after his change that Sam found him. He was the first to change after Sam which made him happy that not only was he not alone in this thing like Sam had been but Sam didn’t have to deal with it all on his own. It took Jared a little bit to get use to the phasing back and forth and getting a handle on his temper. It also took a bit of time for him to wrap his head around everything that came with being a werewolf, one that the stories were actually real and that there were vampires, he finally understood the hostility about the Cullen family with the elders and the reason why Sam had changed.
The best thing that ever happened to him was because of this transformation. He’d spent two or three weeks away from school, Sam wanted to make sure that he was safe to be around people. On his first day back at school, not at all expecting it, when Jared turned to hand back a paper in class he caught the a glimpse of Kim Conweller, at that instant he imprinted on her. At that moment Jared never wanted another person, the thought of even looking at another girl never crossed his mind. Kim is the perfect fit for Jared, when he’s not doing wolf stuff for Sam, you can definitely find him with her. After they’d finished school, Jared and Kim were able to find a house to rent on the reservation, he couldn’t be happier.
Now that the packs were split up, Jared found himself with a new task in and about the pack, he moved up to beta. He was and always would be loyal to Sam and he’d made that clear when he remained with his friend. He actually just as happy with the new restriction placed on the bloodsucker family as everyone else, hoping that they would get no more trouble from any vampires in the future.

It was difficult for the wolves to get very much time to themselves, not only did most of them half to do patrols but then they had other jobs as well, or school. He was so glad that he didn’t have to have school on top of all this, he wasn’t sure that he’d be able to handle that, the lack of sleep wouldn’t give him much time for school work. That’s where he felt bad for Seth, Jake, Embry and Quil. They still had the school thing to do, of course he’d finished off his last year, barely as a wolf, definitely not ideal.
Jared was glad for this new arrangement he and Kim had, the house for just the two of them. If anything about this wolf thing was more difficult then the work load, it was keeping the secret. His parents had been anything but understanding, though who could really blame them when their son basically shot up nearly a foot over night, not to mention the physical difference. He was surprised they didn’t attempt to send him to some sort of rehab center. For brief moments it was amusing though he was glad that was over, and he didn’t have to deal with their constant questions, unless he made a quick visit their way.
Jared hadn’t stayed too long away from the fridge, after his first stop after just walking through the door. At times the appetite could be so annoying, though he was getting better at regulating it at times, luckily the restaurant he worked at didn’t have a probably with the amount that he ate. It was just as he’d bent over at the waist to get a better view of the contents that he heard Kim open the door, and her greeting, “Hey hun” he said from his position in the fridge, a smile taking hold of his lips. It was also the fact that at times he thought with his stomach that could be irritating. At the mention of food, he snapped his attention fully towards Kim, though it was almost always on her.
“Sure” He said at her request for help, striding over to her side in a couple of steps, Jared relieved her of the bags, placing a kiss on her cheek before moving the bag further into the kitchen to the table.
