Throughout his eighteen years, Tommy has experienced two major personality changes from what he once was as a child. Up until he was in his mid teens, Tommy was seen as a fun loving kid that would do anything as long as it kept him busy. He had a lot of energy and was generally someone that you could get along with rather easily, he didn’t tend to be picky with those that he hung around with. He also had a good and well rounded sense of humour enjoying it in movies, stand up and reality, though often having a habit of laughing when its not thought proper. Of course like everyone Tommy could be seen with having a bit of a temper, he was protective over his twin sister just like she was with him and tended to get defensive with anyone that spoke badly about her or his family in general.
When he found out that he was terminally sick and had to undergo all the procedures and treatments, some times against his will, his personality changed. He nearly became the opposite of what he had been just months before. He lacked all his energy that seemed to be the factor that made him fun to be around. He also took on a bit of a depressed out look and some even thought he appeared to be angry at the world. Then again who wouldn’t be in his position right? In merely two years, he lost his will and had no cares, he lost his motivation and snapped easier at people especially his parents and doctors.
His final personality change came after he was living in Seattle and thus became a vampire. At first he didn’t know how to take it, he was dead, yet not in the most literal sense like he was sure to have been in coming months. The fact that he hadn’t had a say in the matter had turned him slightly bitter towards Bree for a while, and if he could have trusted himself Tommy would have put distance between them. So, yes you could say that for a brief period he was rather childish and yes, very stubborn. Eventually he comes around and lightens up again, a few of his traits from his childhood start to poke through the surface though there are newer ones coming with them. He’s become a bit more spiteful then what he ever would have hoped, and a bit more revenge driven and is beginning to really like Bree.
On a side note, Tommy was given an extra ability after he was transformed, he can make someone relive their worst memory exactly they way it was when they first experienced it. He just ahs to concentrate and touch the person, even if its just a light brush of his fingers. This is something he tends to do when he loses his temper, it can help to keep the newborns in line sometimes as well. Its by far not his best quality.

Deborah and Kristopher Jamison were an almost picturesque, they wanted to be that way as well. They wanted the perfect family, two parents in love and two kids one of each gender. Callie was already with the family, nearly making their dreams come true, and when they found out that Deborah was pregnant once again they were excited and soon went to find out what the sex of the baby was, unfortunately what they found out was not what they wanted, they were going to add another girl and a boy to the family, Deborah was having twins, fraternal twins that is. After a couple of months though the two came around and began preparing for their new bundles of joy, embracing the idea of a much larger family then what they had planned, deciding to stop after the birth of Bethany and Thomas.
When Thomas was born, the youngest of the twins, Callie was already two years old and seemed to be happy about the new additions, at least she appeared it but then again kids were usually happy. The babies were of course babied like you would expect and each had their own room after some renovations were completed after they found out about the twins. Thomas had a traditional room which was painted two different shades of blue and decorated with dinosaurs. Of course as he aged towards his teens Thomas changed his interests. His favourite pastime, since he was born and being raised in Santa Monica became anything that had to do with the ocean and other outdoor actives like roller skating, and a couple of other past times like some musical aspects but nothing that he would show anyone.
For most of his young life, Thomas stayed outside from noon until dusk, nothing thinking that this action would shorten his life considerably, but when your that young death is the last thing on your mind. When the young boy wasn’t in school, he spent most of his day at the beach attempting to master the surf and the waves of the Pacific Ocean. His parents weren’t too fond of him being by himself or with friends so his sister Bethany came along most of the time with him, and the two of them often competed with one another while out on the waves. The two of them were pretty close, then again most twins are, they ran in the same circles and tended to go most places with one another. Callie on the other hand didn’t care to have her younger siblings in toe, despite them only being two years apart.
As he entered his teen years he put his parents through the ringer a little bit. Thomas, who started to go my Tommy at this time, started to play hooky with school wanting to spend most of his time at the beach or anything else that didn’t have to do with learning or studying. Other then a few other mishaps Tommy wasn’t too much of a bad child to deal with, a few times he’d gotten into arguments with his parents or other kids at school, only being in a fight with another student once, though that was to take a stand to defend his sister.
The summer after he turned sixteen was when things began to go down hill for the teenager, and presumably for his family as well. One day while he and Bethany were out surfing, rather late into the day and decided that even though they should be home that they would stay until the sun set. It was as they were sitting on blankets, that Bethany noticed the strange take her brother’s apparent birth mark. When she questioned him about it, Tommy basically wrote it off like it was nothing, saying that it had been like that for quite a while. But this didn’t convince his sister and after a couple of months with her worrying, she finally decided to tell her mother who’s concern ended with her taking her son to the doctors at the local hospital. From there Tommy went through a few different tests before he had to wait a few days for the results. The entire family seemed to be on edge while he was just uncharacteristically quiet.
When the tests came back, it happened to be exactly what they feared. Because of his nearly constant exposure to the sun without proper protection, Tommy developed melanoma; more specifically it was stage IV metastatic melanoma. There was a very low survival rate for him, but because of his being underage, his parents were able to approve all tests that he didn’t want.
After he turned eighteen, two years later, and still in a crucial part of his skin cancer he finds out that it has spread from his skin to that of his liver and possibly his brain. He parents began to push for more tests and even suggest a surgery that they read about. That was the last straw for Tommy, he didn’t want any more tests, he didn’t want to have to endure anything else that brought false hope to the family. So making up his mind, when the house was empty and he was feeling at his best, Tommy threw a fair amount of his stuff into a large duffle bag and caught a bus up to Seattle only leaving a note for Bethany telling her he was sorry and not to say anything for at least a day, but he left out where he was heading.
He didn’t last long in Seattle though, as he was avoiding doctors which only made his condition worse then what it already was. He was a runaway, and hoped that he parents didn’t send any authorities out to look for him, he didn’t want to go back even though people believed that it was best to be with your family when you were dying. Though had he known what was in store for him in the coming weeks he may not have taken off to Seattle. Having acquired a job that gave him a few shifts a week, enough to allow him to live in a student apartment, the job was the last place anyone would ever se him. Tommy ended up working in a kitchen, which exited into the alleyway out back where he usually took his breaks. His condition had worsened considerably over the last couple of weeks and to no knowledge of anybody he knew, he’d come to experience fainting spells. This happened on one of his breaks at the restaurant, which was the last thing he remembered before the excruciating pain.
Three days after he first felt the pain, it all went away and he could feel different, completely revived, if you would. And hungry, he was extremely hungry or rather thirsty but before he decided to quench that he became very defensive with the female vampire not to far from him. She explained what happened, what he was and gave a shortened version of why she did it. She continued with the explanation after he fed though it took some convincing. For a while Tommy wasn’t too fond of what Bree had done, without his consent but the more the talked the more she grew on him and he began to see the good reasoning behind what she was doing and agreed to do what he could to help her.
